Knowles Balanced Armatures Picked For GLIDiC's New Premium Wireless Earbuds

The U.S.-based Knowles Corporation, a major manufacturer of specialty electronic components, has been chosen to supply the balanced armature for the latest GLIDiC TW-9100 wireless earbuds. GLIDiC is a Japanese manufacturer of high-end earbuds and has chosen Knowles balanced armatures for use in a hybrid combination alongside dynamic drivers. The Knowles BA drivers are critical for reproducing the higher frequencies, while the dynamic drivers take care of the mid and low frequencies. The result, says Knowles, is a comprehensive soundstage that reveals more intricate details than single dynamic driver designs can. The balanced armatures used in the GLIDiC TW-91000 are tuned to what's known as the 'Knowles Preferred Listening Response Curve which shows that listeners of varying ages and hearing capabilities tend to prefer enhanced high-frequency performance extending past 10 kHz, resulting in an improved enjoyment of music. By opting for Knowles BAs, GLIDiC has managed to extend the frequency range of its new TW-1900 earbuds for better sound reproduction while maintaining the authentic sound signature that audiophiles are looking for. 'The GLIDiC TW-9100 represents the culmination of years of sound creation expertise, bringing together our unique audio know-how with Knowles' industry-leading BAs,' says Satoru Takeshita, head of product division at SB C&S Corp. 'Our goal with this first hybrid design for GLIDiC was to create a high-resolution sound experience that truly resonates with listeners, delivering realistic details from delicate, clear treble to rich, powerful bass in a premium package.' The new GLIDiC TW-9100 earbuds have an elegant design as well as advanced sonic capabilities, which include adaptive hybrid active noise cancellation that automatically adjusts depending on ambient noise levels. The earbuds also have AI noise reduction for clear phone calls, plus multipoint connectivity for simultaneous connection with two Bluetooth devices. Jon Kiachian is president of medical and specialty audio at Knowles Corporation. He adds, 'For more than 75 years, Knowles has pioneered balanced armature technology that enables unprecedented sound performance for its size, and we're proud to see this heritage continue in premium products like the GLIDiC TW-9100.' The new GLIDiC TW-9100 wireless earbuds will be available from today, at SoftBank stores across Japan, as well as through Trend Tech SoftBank SELECTION. The price is ¥34,282 / $240.
