BARTOW, Fla. - A Lake Worth man was killed Monday morning when troopers say he crashed into the back of a truck towing a trailer in Polk County. The backstory According to the Florida Highway Patrol, the 62-year-old man was operating a Harley-Davidson motorcycle eastbound on SR 60 around 9:45 a.m. Troopers say when the motorcyclist was just east of US 98, he was passing other traffic in a median safety zone. At the same time, a 21-year-old Winter Haven man was traveling eastbound on SR 60 in a GMC 2500 truck towing a trailer ahead of the motorcyclist in the outside lane. Woman killed in 3-vehicle crash on Friday afternoon in Natchitoches Parish

A Natchitoches woman died Friday afternoon in a three-vehicle crash in Natchitoches Parish, according to Louisiana State Police. The crash happened on La. Highway 6 at Collins Road, not far from Interstate 49, reads a news release. The initial investigation found that a 2015 GMC 2500, driven by David W. Cross of Deville, and a 2020 Honda CRV, driven by Doris L. Nichols, both were westbound on La. 6. Nichols was making a left turn onto Collins Road, but Cross didn't stop for her and rear-ended the CRV, it reads. Nichols, 58, was wearing a seat belt but died at the scene, reads the release. Cross, 45, was wearing a seat belt but was not injured. The unidentified driver of the Ford also was wearing a seat belt and was taken to a hospital for moderate injuries. The crash remains under investigation.
