Guns N' Roses Share Video of Axl Rose Repeatedly Falling Onstage: Watch
The post Guns N' Roses Share Video of Axl Rose Repeatedly Falling Onstage: Watch appeared first on Consequence. Guns N' Roses have surprisingly released a comedic video of the numerous times frontman Axl Rose has fallen over onstage. The one-minute clip of Axl taking a spill — 14 times in total — is rare bit of self-deprecation from the notoriously media shy and self-serious singer. The video, which is soundtracked by 'Welcome to the Jungle,' was posted to Guns N' Roses' Instagram on Monday (May 19th). Classic Rock magazine calculated that GN'R have played approximately 1,092 shows over the course of their career, which means that Axl has toppled over during at least 1.28% of the band's concerts — and the clip just documents the times he's fallen down on camera, so that percentage is likely much higher. Editor's PickThe video is certainly a humorous way to promote the band's ongoing world tour, though we hope the 63-year-old singer is bit more careful with his stage moves, or he might end up singing from Dave Grohl's throne again. As previously reported, GN'R kicked off the trek at Songdo Moonlight Park in Incheon, South Korea, earlier this month. The tour — their first with new drummer Isaac Carpenter — runs through an appearance at the Wacken Festival in Germany on July 31st. Get tickets here. Guns N' Roses Fans Make Bold Request After Band Announces Departure of Beloved Member
After nearly two decades with the band, Guns N' Roses drummer Frank Ferrer is moving on—and while many fans are sad to see him go, others have been quick to cast their votes for a replacement. In an Instagram post on Wednesday, March 19, the Grammy Award-winning rock band announced Ferrer's departure, sharing two photos: one of the band taking their final bow after a concert, and another of Ferrer sitting behind the drums with a smile on his face. 🎬 🎬 'Guns N' Roses announce the amicable exit of Frank Ferrer,' the post's caption read. 'The band thanks Frank for his friendship, creativity and sturdy presence over the past 19 years, and wish him success in the next chapter of his musical journey.' 'Frank first joined GNR during a show in June 2006 helping anchor the rhythm section during subsequent tours, including their recent outings featuring the reunited trio of Axl Rose, Slash, and Duff McKagan," the message continued. "His last show with the band took place November 5, 2023 in Mexico.' 'Thank you, Frank,' the post concluded. 'For the friendship, creativity and sturdy presence over the last 19 years.' No reason was given for Ferrer's exit. Related: While many fans on social media were disappointed by the news, others wasted no time in making suggestions for the band's next drummer. "Team Steve Adler," wrote one person, referring to the first drummer for Guns N' Roses, who left the band in 1990. "STEVEN COME BACK NOW PLEASE," agreed a second fan, with a third chiming in to say, "bring steven back now 🍿." Others, however, took the opportunity to show some love for Matt Sorum, who joined Guns N' Roses directly after Adler's departure. "Bring Matt Sorum back right on, please!" begged one commenter. "Please, bring Matt Sorum back," echoed another fan. One Instagram user had a diplomatic solution, writing, "Okay... both Steven and Matt are loved by GN'R fans... bring both back if possible ♥️." The current lineup of Guns N' Roses includes founding members Rose, McKagan, and Slash, in addition to Dizzy Reed, Richard Fortus, and Melissa Reese. The band is kicking off their next tour on May 1 in Incheon, South Korea, per Stereogum. Next:
