Friday After 5 announces changes and 2025 plans
HENDERSON, Ky. (WEHT) – Event organizers say Friday After 5's 2025 season will run on Friday nights from May 16 through August 1.
Officials say concerts and activities will emanate from McConnell Plaza. The main concert stage will be located in the plaza. A second weekly entertainment location will be the Overlook Stage at Smothers Park. The Street Fair will encompass Veterans Boulevard and adjoining streets near and around the Plaza.
Event organizers say the weekly festival will begin at approximately 5 p.m. each Friday with street vendors, food offerings and other activities. Programming on the Overlook Stage will occur from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m.. Main Stage concerts will take place from 7 p.m. to 10 p.m.. The full season lineup will be announced soon, including all activities, concerts, and events.

Officials say a new executive committee was recently appointed by the Friday After 5 board. Members are:

Gabby Knight – Treasurer
Charlotte Newton – Secretary
Brad Howton, Chair of Friday After 5, said, 'We couldn't be more excited for the season. We have a new Executive Committee and Board dedicated and committed to strengthening the incredible tradition of Friday After 5. Our goal is to continue building upon the fantastic work of previous leadership to make downtown Owensboro, Kentucky the place to be on Friday nights for years to come. We have invested substantial time listening to our fans, sponsors, vendors, and partners. Those discussions have brought us to an exciting plan to refresh and refocus the weekly concert series and street fair. With a centralized approach and a focus on quality programming for our fans, we are confident this will be one of the best seasons yet.'
New 90,000 square foot gym facility to be built in Owensboro
Organizers say Jagoe Homes has partnered with Friday After 5 as the Title and Presenting Sponsor for 2025, 2026 and 2027. Specifically, Bill and Scott Jagoe, co-owners of Jagoe Homes, are sponsors of Friday After 5.

The Eric Group will continue to secure all talent for the main stage and provide production and management services for the series.
