Benefit to raise money for Baton Rouge police officer after his son dies unexpectedly
BATON ROUGE, La. (Louisiana First) — A fundraiser is raising money for a Baton Rouge police officer's family to cover medical and funeral expenses in the wake of their son's death.
The Baton Rouge Police Department said Officer Gabe Walters lost his son Cason unexpectedly on Jan. 10.
New York Bagel will host a give-back day on Wednesday, Feb. 19 at the Perkins Road and Highland Road locations. If you can't make it to the local business for the event, people can donate to a GoFundMe page.
'Let's show our love, by supporting this event,' the police department said.
