Armed felon in Yuba City arrested after pointing loaded gun at woman, police say
( — A Yuba City man with a felony record was arrested after he allegedly pointed a loaded gun at a woman in broad daylight while under the influence.
Around 1 p.m. on March 9, YCPD responded to a report of a person armed with a handgun in the 400 block of Dorman Avenue. When officers arrived, they said they contacted Gabriel Alexander, 21, who appeared to be intoxicated. According to police, he matched the description the reporting party gave to dispatchers.

Additionally, YCPD reportedly spoke to multiple witnesses and recovered a loaded, semi-automatic handgun. Officers ran the serial number of the firearm and said it was reported stolen from Sacramento.
Witnesses told officers that Alexander came to the area on foot and pointed the gun at a woman who was outside. Alexander is a convicted felon and was on active Post Release Community Supervision (PRCS) out of Sutter County, according to YCPD.
He was arrested and booked into the Sutter County Jail for alleged assault with a semi-automatic firearm, public intoxication, and other related charges.
