Dozens of metro Detroit restaurants have Valentine's Day specials

Oh, Valentine's Day celebrants. Love is in the air with the annual day for celebrating sweeties fast approaching. It's on a Friday this year! If dining out is your plan, make a reservation — and soon. Metro Detroit hot spots known for special occasions are already slammed or booked with reservations for Valentine's Day. Restaurants and chefs are front and center with specially curated experiences, menu specials and special touches for Valentine's Day. Some are also offering Galentine's Day specials on Feb. 13. Galentine's Day, which is a way to honor female friendships, got its start with hit sitcom 'Parks and Recreation" more than a decade ago. Whether dress-up fancy dining or an intimate or casual spot is what you're after with your sweetie, here's a sampling of dinners and special events around metro Detroit. Be sure to check restaurant websites for hours, specials and reservations as many use online reservation companies such as OpenTable or Resy. Adelina chefs Gabriel Botezan and Marco Dalla Fontana's preset Valentine's Day menu is offered Friday-Saturday. The four-course meal is $100 per person that features Wagyu meatballs, salads, entrée choices of pasta, branzino or lamb chops plus dessert. 1040 Woodward Ave.; This modern Italian spot is offering a three-course plus dessert menu with several choices. It's $85 per person and features appetizers such as shrimp diavolo, pasta and entrée choices of branzino, filet or lamb chops. Heart-shaped ravioli, oyster and shrimp platters are on the menu. Courses include choice of appetizers, entrees, salad and dessert. Multiple metro Detroit locations; From Friday through Sunday, the restaurants are featuring $30 lunch and dinner specials for two. Choose two entrees plus a dessert to share and two Pepsi products. On Saturday and Sunday, a two-for-$30 breakfast buffet special includes coffee. Look no further than Carbon Athletic Club. Typically a members-only venue, the club will open its doors for a special ticketed dinner and paint event on Wednesday.
