Man, 26, killed in hit-and-run while on motorcycle
BERKELEY COUNTY, S.C. (WCBD) – The Berkeley County Coroner's Office has released the identity of a man killed in a hit-and-run while traveling on Liberty Hall Road on Thursday.
Mr. Gabriel N. Lazo, 26, of Goose Creek, was pronounced deceased at a nearby hospital from injuries sustained in a motorcycle accident.
Lazo was traveling on a 2024 Kawasaki Ninja 650 motorcycle north on Liberty Hall Road near Snapper Ct. at approximately 9:30 p.m. According to South Carolina Highway Patrol, he veered off the roadway into the southbound lane and was struck by an unknown vehicle.
Lazo was pronounced deceased nearly an hour later at 10:36 p.m.
The Goose Creek Police Department, Berkeley County Sheriff's Office, Goose Creek Fire and Rescue, and Berkeley County EMS responded to this incident.
The South Carolina Highway Patrol and the Berkeley County Coroner's Office are investigating.
