See photos as Wicklow school honours graduating class with memorable send-off
Held in the school's sports hall, the multidenominational event honoured the achievements, growth, and resilience of the Class of 2025, featuring heartfelt speeches, musical performances, and the presentation of special awards highlighting both academic excellence and school spirit. This year's Female Academic Student of the Year was awarded to Ruby Connolly, with Noah Hayes receiving the title of Male Academic Student of the Year, recognising both students for their outstanding dedication and consistent academic achievement across subjects. Celebrating the heart and spirit of Coláiste Eoin, Grace Mulhall and Adam Byrne were honoured with the Spirit of the School awards for their positivity, kindness, and meaningful contributions to the school community throughout their time in Coláiste Eoin. 'The school extends its sincere thanks to Mr Darragh Kelly for his thoughtful organisation of the ceremony, to Ms Leeann Cummins for providing beautiful musical accompaniment, and to Ms Mairead Tompkins for coordinating refreshments on the night,' a school spokesperson said. 'The ceremony provided students and families with an opportunity to reflect on shared memories, achievements, and the bonds formed over the past six years. It was a fitting and respectful farewell to a remarkable group of young people as they prepare to embark on the next chapter of their lives. 'Coláiste Eoin wishes the Leaving Certificate Class of 2025 every success and happiness in the years ahead.' Meanwhile, Coláiste Eoin's transition year students were also honoured at a recent ceremony, where pupils received awards and certs for Junk Kouture, enterprise, achievements, the Future Leaders Programme, Gaisce, Spirit (Cathal Cullen and Lilly Murphy), along with Students of the Year, Molly Rose Burke and Christopher O'Toole.

See photos as colour run for Sunbeam House makes splash in Wicklow
The students were thrilled to welcome some of Sunbeam's clients who took part in the warm-up and even helped to motivate the students by throwing water balloons at them! It was an afternoon of fun, which started with some games and finished with a dip in the sea, while the main event saw students take on three laps of the obstacle course on the school pitch. Some of the TY students completed both work experience and an element of their Gaisce award with Sunbeam House Services this year, so they felt it would be the perfect cause for this year's fundraiser. Coláiste Ráithín hopes to nurture and grow their relationship with Sunbeam House Services over the coming years as both sides feel they can learn a lot from each other. The school wishes to thank Ruth and Gary from the Bray Sports Promotion Unit, Rebecca McKenna and the clients from Sunbeam House Services, and all of the students and teachers and parents who made the afternoon such a success.
