Investors invited to boost tourism sector in Kurnool
District Collector P. Ranjith Basha appealed to investors to come forward with projects for the development of the tourism sector in the district under the Public-Private Partnership (PPP) mode.
Addressing a review meeting with the heads of various departments here on Tuesday, the Collector highlighted the potential of tourist attractions in the district. 'We have grand tourist destinations in Kurnool, including the Ramajal Reservoir, Gajuladinne Damodaram Sanjeevayya Sagar Project, Erugudi village known for the inscriptions of the Maurya dynasty, Banavasi village, Jain temple, Sri Lakshmi Jagannathagattu, Orvakallu Rock Garden, and Gargayapuram Reservoir,' the Collector said.
He said that as a pilot project some of the potential locations were being identified for the construction of resorts, eco-friendly parks, and tourism-friendly infrastructure.
In this context, Mr. Ranjith Basha informed the investors to join hands with the tourism wing to bring a vibrant tourism boom in the district. 'Kurnool district is emerging as a potential centre for economic and tourist activities,' he said. The Collector also sought the interested investors to contact the concerned officials on 6309942034.
