Super Bowl weekend in Richmond: Events, markets and Galentine's
If you didn't already know, it's Super Bowl weekend and the first Friday of the month — so Richmond will be jam packed with events. Let's get into it.
Friday, Feb. 7
🛍️ You can sip and shop with Mystic Markets at the Veil in Scott's Addition. 5-9pm. Free.
🖐️ And right after, head to the Canal Club if you were a One Directioner for a " One Direction Dance Night." $1 per ticket goes toward the National Alliance on Mental Illness. 9pm. $25.
🍷 Galentine's Day Pop-Up at Quirk will have wine and women-owned businesses you can shop from in the lobby. 5-8pm. Free unless you sip wine and buy gifts.
💐 There's also " Galentine's Bourbon and Blooms," where you can create a floral arrangement while drinking cocktails at Reservoir Distillery. 6:30pm. $50
Saturday, Feb. 8
🐍 "ChinaFest: Year of the Wood Snake" at the VMFA will have dance performances, including the Lion Dance, Kung Fu, calligraphy and more. 10am-4:30pm. Free.
🍫 Don't forget this year's festival combining chocolate, wine and whiskey at Main Street Station. 11:30am-9pm. Tickets start at $69.
🍺 Galentine's Day never stops! There's another market at Benchtop Brewing with local vendors, books and brews. Noon-5pm. Free.
🦐 If all-you-can eat (AYCE) seafood is more your vibe, Sportsman's Restaurant and Lounge near Highland Springs has AYCE fish, oysters and shrimp. 1-4pm. $35.
Sunday, Feb. 9
❤️ The "Big GAY LOVE Market" at Diversity Richmond has LGBTQ+ vendors and artists. Donate what you can. Noon-4pm.
🐶 Mae's Mutts One-Year Celebration will have adoptable puppies, a pizza food truck, a puppy kissing booth and pics for $25 at Main Line Brewery. 1-4pm. Free.
😍 Watch the famous Puppy Bowl, arguably more important than the Chiefs vs. Eagles game, at Strangeways. 1-4pm. Free.
👀 The Hof will have food and drink specials for the Super Bowl and play the game on a 100-inch projector screen with surround sound. 3-11pm. Tickets start at $15.
💅🏼 The " Swiftie Bowl Party" at Buskey Cider will have the game, Taylor Swift-related ciders and friendship bracelets. 6:30pm. Free.
🚫 Richbrau Brewing's " Anti-Superbowl Party" where you can play games instead of watching football. Hours TBD. Free.
