H&M launches first French shop-in-shop for premium childrenswear line

H&M is opening its first shop-in-shop at Galeries Lafayette Paris Haussmann, with a 63-square-meter space on the childrenswear floor dedicated to the premium label H&M Adorables. The shop marks the first department store venture for H&M in France following the successful launch of H&M Adorables at Selfridges London last year. "It's hard to imagine a better setting for our most premium childrenswear line than Galeries Lafayette Paris Haussmann, one of the most iconic fashion destinations in the world. We're so excited about this partnership, and looking forward to introduce H&M Adorables to a whole new set of customers," says Isabella Innergård, Managing Director H&M Kids. H&M has opened its first French shop-in-shop at Galeries Lafayette Paris Haussmann, featuring a 63-meter square space for its premium childrenswear line, H&M Adorables. The store offers retro-inspired summer pieces and timeless basics for babies and kids. Designed with natural materials, the space reflects the brand's focus on quality, longevity, and accessible luxury. Launched worldwide last October, H&M Adorables is a carefully crafted collection of clothes and accessories for children, designed with longevity in mind. The Galeries Lafayette store will stock a curated mix of seasonal pieces for kids and babies – the summer collection is inspired by a distinct retro resort vibe – alongside foundational items such as sets and rompers for newborns. "With H&M Adorables we want to create pieces that can last through generations and be passed down from child to child. The collections are born from a timeless design philosophy, carefully crafted in quality materials like silk, wool and organic cotton. Parents will find enduring garments in beautiful fabrics that are both long lasting and very accessible," says Sofia Löfstedt, Head of Design H&M Kids. Created by H&M's store design team, the shop-in-shop celebrates the enduring and tactile quality of natural materials, using a careful composition of wood, stone and textiles to create a refined backdrop for the collections. The space is split into two parts devoted to baby and kidswear respectively. Pete Wicks rages after Sam Thompson tells him about cafe you 'can't eat' at

Pete Wickes couldn't believe what he was hearing when podcast co-host and best mate Sam Thompson told him there's a cafe you can go to where you can't eat a morsel Pete Wicks, who found fame on The Only Way Is Essex, has been left raging after podcast co-host Sam Thompson, of Made In Chelsea fame, told him there's a cafe in London where you can't actually eat anything. When Sam told him this on their Staying Relevant podcast, the 37-year-old was left dumbfounded, wondering what the point is. "So what do you eat?" Pete asked Sam, and the 32-year-old responded: "Nothing". Pete continued: "So if you go for lunch, you're just as hungry when you leave?" Sam then explained to Pete that you wouldn't be going to this place for lunch, because it's the Jellycat cafe. ‌ "But why else would you go to a cafe other than to f**king eat something?" Pete fumed, unable to grasp the concept of the Jellycat cafe. Jellycats are plush toys known for their adorable faces. The company was founded in London in 1999 and has surged in popularity, with many adults and children collecting them. ‌ For those, like Pete, who are not in the know, the Jellycat cafe was a pop-up store in London, and when you purchased a product from there, staff members would pretend to 'cook' the toy food item in front of you. Currently, there's a fish and chip shop in Selfridges, London, where staff will do the same thing. In other countries, there's a Jellycat Diner Experience at FAO Schwarz, New York, and the Jellycat Pâtisserie experience on the 5th floor of Galeries Lafayette Paris Haussmann within the FAO Schwarz store. Sam explained that you'd "go and pick up your burger, but it's your Jellycat burger," but Pete still couldn't grasp "which bit you eat". "You don't eat anything, it's a toy," Sam continued, which led Pete to fume: "So what's she cooking?" Things started to sound a little weird when Sam said: "Nothing. She's pretending to cook the toy," but anyone who has seen the Jellycat experiences in action will know how wholesome it is. ‌ Pete was baffled about what "the point" was in pretending to cook the Jellycat, wondering why they can't just put it in a bag. "You coulda just picked the f**ker up and whacked it in your bag," he seethed, saying that the staff pretending to cook something is silly. ‌ "It's the only way you can get it," Sam shared, and Pete couldn't believe you were "forced" to watch it. Sam then revealed that their producer, Pippa, has been, and also owns around 30 to 40 Jellycats, and that seemed to be the final straw for Pete. Sam then shared he has two, and Pete raged: "You're an adult. I'm not going to a cafe so I can go and watch someone pretend to cook a toy, so I can take it home and say 'ooh I picked myself up a nice new toy burger today and someone cooked it for me and pretended to put blueberry sauce all over my f**king toy pancake'. What's the point? What is the point?" So, it seems like Pete won't be picking himself a Jellycat up anytime soon, then...
