Lottery ticket worth $5 million sold at Florida gas station. Here's where
A woman decided to buy a Florida Lottery ticket for $20 when she stopped at a gas station by an airport.
Then she won $5 million.
Lucinda Joseph-Rann hit a jackpot prize with her scratch-off ticket in the $5,000,000 Crossword Cash game, the Florida Lottery announced May 9.
She bought her ticket at a Gate Petroleum Company convenience store, which received a $10,000 bonus for selling it, near Jacksonville International Airport, lottery officials said.
Records show she beat the 1-in-4,012,065 odds to win one of four prizes of $5 million in the game.
No more top prizes remain in the game.
The 54-year-old Duval County woman claimed her winnings in Tallahassee as a lump sum of $3,262,138, officials said.
