Millcreek Twp. looking for developer for Gateway District Project
Millcreek Township is moving to their next steps for their Gateway District Project. The township's general authority has put out over 8,000 requests for qualifications to developers across the nation. Millcreek Twp. looking for developers, launches formal request for qualifications The authority is looking for a developer who has experience in other communities throughout the country to bring their ideas to the West 8th Street corridor. Township supervisor Kim Clear said these developers will do studies to see what would be viable in that community. Shawn Giles' loved ones inviting public to light up the town red for fallen firefighters 'I want to put Millcreek in a position of financial sustainability for years to come. We have not done a good job of investing in ourselves in Millcreek Township. This is an investment into future financial prosperity. This is an increased tax revenue through income tax through property tax that we are going to be receiving for generations to come,' Clear said. Serafini's Trattoria moving into former Bricks Steakhouse building
Bricks Steakhouse, located in downtown Erie, has closed its doors; however, a new tenant will be moving in. Serafini's Trattoria Italian Restaurant has announced they will be opening up in this location. New downtown Country Fair offering extended options nearing opening Owners Amanda Serafini and her husband have been bringing the taste of her great-grandmother's Italian recipes back to life at St. Mark's Episcopal Church and is now planning their own space. According to the Erie Downtown Development Corporation, the owners are scheduled to start renovations this month and their target opening date is late spring.
