State Banquet held in conjunction with opening of fourth term of 19th Sarawak DUN

KUCHING (May 20): Sarawak Governor Tun Pehin Sri Dr Wan Junaidi Tuanku Jaafar and wife Toh Puan Datuk Patinggi Fauziah Mohd Sanusi attended a State Banquet last night in conjunction with the opening of the first meeting of the fourth term of the 19th State Legislative Assembly (DUN).
Among those present were Premier Datuk Patinggi Tan Sri Abang Johari Tun Openg; Deputy Premiers Datuk Amar Douglas Uggah Embas, Datuk Amar Awang Tengah Ali Hasan, and Datuk Amar Dr Sim Kui Hian; DUN Speaker Tan Sri Datuk Amar Mohamad Asfia Awang Nassar; ministers; and deputy ministers.
Held at the Banquet Hall of the DUN Complex, the ceremonial dinner saw various performances.
Local artistes perform a number on the main stage.
They included the 'Gatsby Dance' by the Kasuma Tari group under the supervision of the Sarawak Arts Council; a special performance by Simfoni Orkestra Negeri Sarawak (SONS) led by music director Saiful Hamdan; as well as performances by artistes Hijrah Yahya, Carrie Geres, Nadhar Idruze, Harvy Ixzy, and Adelynna Yang.
Other attendees included former deputy chief ministers Datuk Patinggi Tan Sri Alfred Jabu and Datuk Patinggi Tan Sri Dr George Chan; State Secretary Datuk Amar Mohamad Abu Bakar Marzuki; senior government officers; and community leaders. lead state banquet Wan Junaidi
