BATON ROUGE, La. (Louisiana First) — A GoFundMe was created to pay for the funeral of a man who died in a crash in Baton Rouge. Gemico Ruffin, 28, was killed in a single-vehicle crash on April 6 after his car went over a railing at S. I-110 near Capitol Access and Chippewa Street. According to the GoFundMe's description, the fundraiser was created by Ruffin's mother to raise money for funeral expenses. The fundraiser has a goal of $5,000 and has raised a little over $855 as of April 15. Click here to donate. BATON ROUGE, La. (Louisiana First) — A man was killed after his car plunged over a railing at S I-110 near Capitol Access and Chippewa Street on Sunday, April 6. The one-vehicle crash took place at 4:30 p.m., and the driver of the vehicle died from their injuries, according to the Baton Rouge Police Department. The East Baton Rouge Parish Coroner's Office identified the person who was killed as Gemico Ruffin, 28. The coroner's office said they were notified around 5:20 p.m., and the 'cause of death was multiple blunt force injuries.' The investigation into this crash remains ongoing.
