Sinclair calls the shots as Race to Korea 2025 starts strong at Trump International Golf Club
Gemma Sinclair set the pace as the opening round of the highly anticipated 2025 UAE Race to Korea, presented by Dugasta, kicked off this Saturday at Trump International Golf Club, Dubai.
The event marks the first of 17 qualifying rounds that will be held across the UAE, drawing 61 players vying for a spot in the UAE Grand Final at the Abu Dhabi Golf Resort & Spa on May 17, 2025.
Sinclair, with an impressive score of 67, claimed the top position in Division 4, setting the pace for what promises to be an exciting season.
The divisional winners will move on to the prestigious UAE Grand Final, with hopes of representing the UAE in the World Amateur Golfers Championship in Jeju Island, South Korea, from October 31 to November 8, 2025.
Russell Yeomans of Sport2Business, the event promoter, shared his enthusiasm for the tournament saying: 'We're off to a great start for this year's 2025 Race to Korea. With our proven model and growing support from the golf clubs and members, it's exciting to see this event gaining momentum.
'Representing the UAE in the World Final is truly special, and it's fantastic to see such high interest from the golfing community.'
The UAE Grand Final Divisional winners will earn the honour of representing the UAE in Jeju Island, competing for glory on the world stage.
