The suspects — Muhammad Duaij Shabl Al-Enezi, Ahmed Hussein Qate' Jabr, Suleiman Muhammad Salal, and Saad Abdul Rahman Salal — were found in possession of a significant quantity of illegal substances during the operation. Seized items included: 15,000 capsules of Lyrica 100 grams of cocaine 500 grams of chemical substances 250 grams of hashish 80 psychotropic pills A electronic scale used for weighing drugs KD 10,590 in cash, suspected to be proceeds from drug trafficking All necessary legal procedures have been initiated, and the suspects have been referred to the relevant authorities. The Ministry reaffirmed its commitment to intensifying its security campaigns, pledging to take firm action against anyone involved in the import, distribution, or promotion of drugs to safeguard public safety and societal well-being.

The shipment, which originated from another country, contained approximately 110 kilograms of hashish concealed within marble slabs. Following thorough investigations and intensive inspection of the shipment, authorities arrested two suspects: Radi Matar Al-Muhammad, a Syrian national, and Dhari Abdullah Shaman, a Bedoun (Stateless) with Eritrean nationality. The two individuals allegedly conspired with a Saudi national, Khaled Walid, in an attempt to smuggle the shipment out of Kuwait. Additionally, a search of one suspect's residence led to the discovery of 6,000 Captagon pills, 5 grams of methamphetamine (Shabu), and an electronic scale used for preparing and distributing narcotics. The suspects have been referred to the relevant authorities for legal action. The Ministry of Interior reiterates its commitment to monitoring and apprehending anyone attempting to compromise national security or engage in the trafficking or promotion of narcotics. The suspects were found in possession of 14 kilograms of narcotics and 9,000 psychotropic tablets. In a press statement, the Ministry explained that this operation is part of the ongoing security efforts and proactive measures undertaken by the General Department for Combating Narcotics to apprehend drug dealers and smugglers. After verifying the accuracy of the received information and obtaining legal approval from the Public Prosecution, the department arrested five suspects: two Kuwaiti citizens, two stateless individuals, and one Syrian national. The authorities seized the following substances from the group: 8.5 kilograms of hashish, 5 kilograms of crystal meth, half a kilogram of Lyrica powder, 50 grams of chemicals, 30 grams of marijuana, 7,000 Lyrica capsules, 2,000 Tramadol tablets, 200 psychotropic tablets, and 400 milliliters of hashish oil. Additionally, the suspects had tools for filling Lyrica capsules. The accused individuals and the seized materials were referred to the Drugs and Alcohol Prosecution for further legal action. KUWAIT CITY, Feb 8: A security source from the General Department for Combating Narcotics disclosed that during the past year, a total of 77 firearms, including mostly machine guns, were seized in "anti-narcotics" operations. Along with the firearms, authorities also confiscated tons of narcotics and millions of tranquilizer pills. The source emphasized that the connection between drug dealers and firearms requires careful and precise handling to ensure that these weapons are not used for further criminal activity. The individuals arrested with firearms were referred to the judiciary in two separate cases: one for drug trafficking and the other for the illegal possession of firearms. According to Kuwaiti law, possession of firearms without a license can lead to a prison sentence of up to five years. As per Law No. 6 of 2015, which regulates the collection of weapons, ammunition, and explosives, anyone found in possession of unlicensed weapons or explosives may face imprisonment for up to five years, along with a fine of up to 10,000 Kuwaiti dinars, or one of these penalties after the period specified in Article Six. To obtain a weapon license in Kuwait, applicants must meet the following conditions: - They must be a Kuwaiti national (or have an exemption from the Minister of Interior if they hold another nationality). - Applicants must be at least 21 years old and capable of handling weapons. - They must have good conduct and no criminal record. - They should not be under surveillance or suspicion by security authorities. - They must be employed or have a legitimate source of income. - An official application must be submitted to the Minister of Interior through the General Department of Criminal Evidence.
