The Third Minor Criminal Court delivered its ruling in a single hearing. The pair were also stripped of their mobile phones, and the court ordered that they be deported once their sentences have been served. Alert The matter moved quickly. Days before the hearing, the Cybercrime Directorate at the General Directorate for Anti-Corruption and Economic and Electronic Security alerted the Public Prosecution to a video circulating online. It showed the two men carrying out indecent acts in public. Prosecutors said the footage clashed with Bahraini customs and encouraged immoral conduct. The prosecution ordered their arrest immediately. During questioning, both confessed. They were held for seven days while the case was sent to court. Prosecutors requested the toughest sentence available along with a permanent ban on their return. The court gave its ruling in a single session. The men will be removed from the country once they have served their time in prison.
