Civil Services Prelims tomorrow
The Civil Services (Preliminary) Examination 2025 will be held at 95 sub-centres in Hyderabad on May 25. The examination will have two papers — General Studies and CSAT. It will be conducted from 9.30 a.m. to 11.30 a.m. and 2.30 p.m. to 4.30 p.m., respectively. The entry of candidates at the exam centres is strictly based on an e-admit card issued by the Union Public Service Commission (UPSC), along with a valid original photo identification card. If candidates are unable to produce the ID card, an undertaking can be submitted, and not producing one's ID card will not be treated as barring the candidate from appearing for the test. As per examination rules, in each session, candidates will be allowed to carry only the e-admit card, a black ballpoint pen, pencil, identity proof, copies of self-photographs, and a transparent water bottle. Entry into the venue will be closed 30 minutes before the scheduled commencement of the exam. No candidate will be allowed to enter the hall after the gates are closed, and no candidate will be allowed to leave before the end of the full allotted time. Candidates will not be allowed to use the toilet during the last 30 minutes of the examination. Bags, cellphones and watches should be kept at candidates' risk as examination venues will not have designated cloak rooms.

Bihar Public Service Commission has released notification to fill the Assistant Engineer posts. The registration process will begin on April 30 and will close on May 28, 2025. This recruitment drive will fill up 1024 posts in the organisation. Notably, Tina Dabi secured an overall score of 1063 out of 2025 marks, translating to a percentage of 52.49%. Subject-wise scores of Tina Dabi Tina achieved a total of 145 in the Essay paper, 119 in General Studies Paper 1, 84 in GS Paper 2, 111 in GS Paper 3, and 110 in GS Paper 4. Other than these subjects, IAS Tina Dabi scored 128 in Political Science Paper 1, and an impressive 171 in Political Science Paper 2. The civil services examination is conducted annually in three stages — preliminary, main and interview — by the UPSC to select officers of the Indian Administrative Service (IAS), Indian Foreign Service (IFS) and Indian Police Service (IPS) among others. UPSC Civil services (preliminary) examination 2024 The civil services (preliminary) examination 2024 was conducted on June 16 last year. A total of 9,92,599 candidates applied for this examination, out of which 5,83,213 candidates actually appeared in the test. A total of 14,627 candidates qualified for appearance in the written (main) examination, which was held in September 2024. Out of these, 2,845 candidates qualified for the personality test or interview, which were held between January 7 and April 17 this year.
