OnlyFans teacher slams Susanna Reid for 'cheap comment' after GMB interview

An OnlyFans teacher, who appeared on Good Morning Britain this week, has hit back at Susanna's Reid's on air comment at the end of her interview on the ITV breakfast show An OnlyFans teacher has hit back at Susanna Reid after her brutal comments following her interview on Good Morning Britain this week. Kirsty Buchan, 34, was struck off after pupils discovered her OnlyFans account, where she makes £60,000 a month for posting topless and lingerie pictures of herself. ‌ Speaking on the ITV show on Wednesday, the former physics teacher told Susanna Reid and Richard Madeley that she began posting on the app after her son became unwell and she needed time off. ‌ Towards the end of the interview, Susanna introduced weather presenter Laura Tobin - appearing to reference the chat with Kirsty. She laughed: "Right - let's have a look at weather now with Laura who's all covered up in a field in Kent." However, it doesn't look like Kirsty saw the funny side, as she took to her Instagram - slamming the "cheap comment." In a video on her Instagram stories, Kirsty said: 'The only cheap person in a room is the one making cheap comments and cheap digs to someone. 'It says more about their character than it ever will about the people they are talking about.' The former teacher then went on to express how it was "off-colour for her to get all sniffy about it after the interview ended," revealing she wasn't able to respond. ‌ "That's one thing about this whole episode that has frustrated me - that people want to judge me and aren't bothered about my own opinions or explanations," she continued. Elsewhere in her interview, Kirsty added that she didn't want her students to see the images, claiming that an adult illegally copyrighted the images and sent them out to children at the school. She also spoke to her 14 year-old son about it, and used a different name. I've got my moniker Jessica Jackrabbit, I put a wig on and loads of make-up. I didn't think I would be caught, I didn't think I would be famous," she said. The General Teaching Council for Scotland found that Kirsty failed to conceal her identity and position, her behaviour "lacked integrity" and said that she "used her profession as a selling tool" while the "school involved was now synonymous with having an OnlyFans teacher".

Teacher's secret OnlyFans page exposed by ‘excited' schoolboys who shared X-rated images

A teacher booted out of the profession after a bunch of 'excited' schoolboys discovered images from her secret OnlyFans page has called it 'a bad day for people's freedom of expression'. Kirsty Buchan, also known as Jessica Jackrabbit x, was working at Bannerman High School in Glasgow when she joined the site, describing herself as a 'good teacher gone bad… really bad'. The mum-of-one, 34, was struck off by the General Teaching Council for Scotland (GTCS) who found she had 'used her profession as a selling tool', with the school 'now synonymous with having an OnlyFans teacher'. Ms Buchan called the tribunal a 'kangaroo court' and criticised the 'heavy-handed' decision to ban her from teaching. 'I'm actually upset even though I knew it would go this way,' she said. She told the Daily Record: 'I think it's a bad day for people's freedom of expression because I was dealing with an adult site and didn't have any expectation of pupils even seeing the photos.' Ms Buchan's profile was discovered by pupils in 2022 and reported to headteacher Seonaidh Black. Ms Black told the hearing: 'I was approached by some S5 and S6 boys, who were very excited. 'They were saying things like, 'Have you heard the news'. I said something like 'I don't know what you're talking about' as I did not want to engage them in this kind of conversation. 'I was then told something like, 'If you haven't heard, when you do, you're going to go ballistic. Look out for Jessica Jackrabbit'. 'As I came back into the building, at least two staff stopped to ask me if I knew about Kirsty. It was obvious at this point that everyone knew what was going on.' Ms Buchan, who attended the school before becoming a teacher there, resigned in December 2022 and declined to appear at the hearing or give evidence. She claimed to make £60,000 in just one month by posting photos on the adult site. Her bio described how she posted 'big tits and sexy tight body' photos 'every couple of days'. Hannah Oakley, who investigated the case for GTCS, told the tribunal the teacher failed to 'ensure that her profile picture and bio' were not accessible to those under 18. Panel member Gary Burton said there was a 'significant blurring of boundaries between her private life and her professional life'. He added she had 'used her profession in her bio as a selling tool' and submitted her actions were 'fundamentally incompatible with being a registered teacher'. Ms Buchan told the Record she is a 'loyal and decent' person who lives her life 'according to proper values'. She added: 'I know I was a very good teacher because I really cared about the kids I taught. I'd have loved to have carried on with both but that was taken away from me. 'It really just makes me feel sad, to give me a life ban and make out that I'm a bad teacher when opposite is true.' check our news page.

Empowering teachers to embed learning for sustainability

Learning for Sustainability (LfS) is an approach to life and learning which aims to support all children and young people in Scotland to develop the values, skills, knowledge and attributes needed to thrive in a socially, economically and ecologically uncertain world. The approach has developed in Scotland since the early 2010s and, today, school teachers have a commitment to realising LfS as part of their professional standards, as set out by the General Teaching Council for Scotland. Until now, there has not been a single national approach to embedding LfS in Initial Teacher Education (ITE) and the Scottish Government's Learning for Sustainability Action Plan 2023-2030 highlighted this as a key area for development. On behalf of the Scottish Council of Deans of Education, and working in partnership with the ITE community across Scotland, I have led a team which aims to address this gap, by developing a new national framework, providing guidance on how teachers and teacher educators can embed this learning from the beginning of teachers' careers. Over the last two years, the development of the framework has involved phases of collaborative discussion, reflection, drawing on the expertise and perspectives of teacher educators, teachers, school mentors and young people. This work has been supported by the Scottish Council of Deans of Education, Education Scotland, the General Teaching Council for Scotland, Learning for Sustainability Scotland and all 11 Scottish universities which provide ITE. The framework is structured around the four "C"s – Curriculum, Campus, Communities and Cultures. In each section there is summary of key concepts before providing a framework of "touchstone" questions which support beginning teachers and teacher educators to reflect and identify change. The questions consider how national approaches to LfS are responsive and sustainable, the role in which beginning teachers can play in this endeavour, and how best to nurture and support the ITE community in progressing important work in this area. The aim is that using the framework as a guide, beginning teachers will work collaboratively with teachers in schools, university-based teacher educators, children and young people, as well as with community groups and organisations. The final section focuses on action – inviting the ITE community to identify the next steps in the journey towards realising the LfS vision to end poverty, protect the planet and ensure peace and prosperity worldwide. Following the launch, a range of activities are planned where the teacher education community can collaboratively explore the framework and inform the next steps. Over the coming months and years, we will continue to capture the impact of the framework and the extent to which it supports all student teachers centre Learning for Sustainability in their professional lives.
