Gwyneth Paltrow Reveals ‘Most Surprising Thing' About Timothee Chalamet
Curious about what thinks of her Marty Supreme co-star Timothee Chalamet? Well, she recently opened up about her experience working with him. In a recent interview, she shared some charming details about Chalamet. Here's an insight into what Gwyneth Paltrow said about Timothee Chalamet and their upcoming project together. In a recent interview with E! News, Paltrow spoke warmly about Chalamet's personality. When asked what the most surprising feature about the young star was, she didn't hesitate. 'Oh, he's a lovely person. He's, you know, he speaks beautiful French and loves his mother,' she said. Her remarks, though simple, gave fans a sweet glimpse into Chalamet's character off-screen. She continued by describing him as 'very polite and very talented,' expressing how enjoyable it was to work alongside him. 'I really had a nice time with him,' Paltrow added sincerely. Shifting focus to Marty Supreme, Paltrow explained her excitement not just for the project but also for how her children reacted to it. 'It stars Timothee Chalamet and Tyler, the Creator. So therefore, my son especially is like out of his mind about this and he's never seen me in a movie before. So this might have to be the first one. He has seen me like in Iron Man when he was little,' she revealed. When asked whether her daughter Apple had seen her in films, Paltrow responded, 'I think she's watched a few more. I think she's more a nerd to it.' During the interview, Paltrow also addressed the possibility of reprising her Marvel role. 'Maybe, maybe there's a possibility,' she said with a smile. She briefly discussed her work on The Forest Within, an immersive art installation at Genesis House. In Marty Supreme, Chalamet portrays Marty Mauser, a young dreamer no one believes in, who endures emotional and literal trials in pursuit of greatness. Not only does Chalamet star in the film, but he also serves as co-producer. A24 will release the film in U.S. theaters on December 25, 2025. Gwyneth Paltrow Shares Her Travel Rule For When Things Go Wrong
Gwyneth Paltrow leads visitors through a unique sensory experience at Genesis House. In the heart of Manhattan's Meatpacking District, Gwyneth Paltrow has helped turn a luxury showroom into something resembling a Korean forest. The Forest Within, a new immersive installation at Genesis House, is her latest collaboration—one that fuses nature, tech, and wellness into a multisensory sanctuary filled with peonies, LED-lit rock formations, and the scent of petrichor. But the project isn't just about aesthetics. 'I think we are at this crazy inflection point as a culture and society where we're tipping over into so much input all the time,' Paltrow told me at the opening. 'We have not adapted to it. Our nervous systems absolutely cannot cope with what's happening on any level.' Designed to pull visitors into a sensory reset—complete with guided meditation voiced by Paltrow herself—the installation is meant to be a reminder that, even in the middle of New York City, stillness is possible. 'We experience emails like a—like a bad email is like a gunshot,' she said. 'And it's not commensurate with what's happening.' This fascination with the nervous system and the need for presence isn't limited to pop-up installations—it's become central to how she travels. And when things go wrong, which of course they often do, Paltrow has a simple rule. 'I try to go in with the mindset of, like, this might not go according to plan, and let's just sort of try to roll with it, you know?' she said. 'There was one time I was stuck on the Eurostar for six hours when my kids were toddlers. You can lose your mind, or you can try to be calm and go a bit inward. What will losing your mind in a train car do for anybody?' Even when travel feels like chaos, she turns to what she calls her grounding rituals. 'I always walk,' she said. 'I was once in France, and I had this tour guide in a museum, and he said, Do you want to take the elevator or do you want to walk? And I said, I prefer to walk. And he said, 'Good, me too. I believe that walking brings the body and the soul together.' And I was like, that's true. I never articulated it like that.' She and her husband, Brad Falchuk, will often spend hours walking through a city—sometimes to dinner, sometimes just to get lost. 'Last summer, we were walking around Rome, and we had one of those days where we walked for about six hours and got lost. And we stumbled upon one of those ruins that had sort of a modern facade that had been peeled away, and it was like some 11th-century… you know what I mean?' she laughed. 'It was one of those moments where it was just a treasure that someone else had unearthed.' Hydration, she added, is the other essential. And when arriving somewhere new, especially across time zones, she avoids overindulging until she's settled. 'I try to mine like the food, the alcohol, and stuff until I get totally adjusted to the time,' she said. She lights up most when talking about the places that truly feel like sanctuaries. We go to Italy in the summer, in the hills of Umbria. It's like true countryside, very rustic. That's where I feel totally at peace,' she said. 'It's unmanicured, and there's a wildness to it. They call Umbria the Green Heart of Italy. And all the flora and fauna there… you know, all kinds of wild things running around in the bushes and olive trees. I just feel like beautifully insignificant when I'm there.' Paltrow is quick to draw distinctions between different types of nature. 'The forest is so gentle and it's so inward and it's so quiet and like, there's so much peace in the forest,' she said. 'But California, the coast—it's almost brutal. It's so raw and beautiful, and the waves are so strong, the ocean's so cold and brackish. There's something inhospitable about it that I love.' The daughter of a filmmaker, she grew up bouncing between coasts and continents—and hasn't slowed down. 'I've never been to Korea, which I'm dying to go to. Korean food's my favorite food,' she said. 'And I've only ever been to Tokyo in Japan, so I would love to kind of go out into the islands and do that whole trip.' When I mentioned my own desire to ski in Japan, she nodded. 'Yeah, people say you go in January and February, and it's unbelievable. That would be really cool.' While The Forest Within is open through June 29 and offers a stylized version of that immersive nature, she believes everyone can recreate their own version at home. 'If there's a spot outside in nature where somebody could go and do the thing that connects them most deeply to themselves—whether that's listening to a beautiful piece of music or reading a poem or just simply lying down on the grass—that's kind of what we're trying to achieve here,' she said. 'It doesn't cost anything and can be a powerful tool in shifting our consciousness.' And for fellow parents wondering how to bring little ones along for the ride, Paltrow had one final piece of advice. 'I always just sort of packed up my kids and went, and I tried not to be too precious. My dad always said, 'You're on the time you're on.' We'd be falling asleep at the table and he'd be like, 'We're going to the Pompidou.'' Because when it comes to travel, her rule is clear: expect disruption—and find calm anyway.

Step inside a free immersive wellness experience designed with Gwyneth Paltrow
A lush Korean forest is now growing in the Meatpacking District—figuratively at least. "The Forest Within," an immersive exhibition, is open for free at Genesis House through June 29. With a focus on wellness, none other than wellness guru and goop founder Gwyneth Paltrow put her personal stamp on the experience. She helped to design and develop the exhibition with renowned floral designer Jeff Leatham. Paltrow even narrates the journey, which follows a tiger through a flourishing sanctuary reminiscent of the Sobaek Mountains. Paltrow reimagined the basement-level space as a holistic, immersive environment meant to ground and heal guests through nature. "The Forest Within" aims to slow the senses and balance the mind—something we could all likely use a little more of these days. You'll get a chance to walk through a scaled interpretation of a Korean forest filled with greenery and natural elements. Then, with Paltrow's voice as your guide, you'll head through a maze of rocky formations and lush greenery. The adventure concludes with a meditation meadow where guests can reflect and practice mindfulness around a reflection pool. Expect digital visuals, sounds, smells and textures to help make the experience truly immersive. Keep an eye out for the use of peonies throughout the space. Not only are they in season right about now, they're also Paltrow's favorite flower. "I've always been drawn to the ways technology can deepen our connection to wellness, and with 'The Forest Within,' Genesis House has elevated that idea into something truly transportive. There are very few places to encounter this kind of immersive, meditative experience, especially in the heart of New York City. Collaborating on this project has been an incredible opportunity to push the boundaries of what wellness can look and feel like, and I'm thrilled to invite people into this serene, multisensory world we've created," Paltrow said in a press release. 'There are very few places to encounter this kind of immersive, meditative experience, especially in the heart of New York City.' Genesis House is becoming known for creating truly cool immersive exhibits, always with a link to the Genesis car brand's Korean heritage. This winter, they hosted a light installation called STARSCAPE inspired by the Korean winter solstice. Last year, a Genesis House exhibition called BLOOMTANICA, which featured Korea's national flower, drew long lines to see the free show. "Together with the creative vision of Gwyneth Paltrow, our shared passion for audacious design comes to life as we honor the brand's cultural roots in the latest seasonal installation at Genesis House," Tedros Mengiste, chief operating officer of Genesis Motor North America, said in a press release. If you want to take the experience to the next level, make a reservation at the on-site restaurant, with food and drink inspired by the exhibition. The menu includes mugwort gulrim mandu, a Korean spring dumpling made with tiger-striped mandu sheets, reminiscent of the installation's tiger motifs. As for cocktails, there's the ginseng petrichor, a soju-based cocktail inspired by the scent of rain, blending green tea vodka, ginseng, astragalus, pyogo, nokcha, doraji and pear syrup, and orange blossom water.

Gwyneth Paltrow Avoids 'Urban Overwhelm' With This Simple Trick (Exclusive)
Gwyneth Paltrow shared how she copes with "urban overwhelm," telling PEOPLE exclusively that nature is "how I stay grounded" The Goop founder teamed up with NYC's The Genesis House for an immersive walk-through exhibit designed as a "beautiful meditative space' She tells PEOPLE how she manages anxiety to "become present and sort of get back into your body'Gwyneth Paltrow is sharing her ideal meditative space, a nature-themed retreat where she — and others — can escape from 'urban overwhelm.' 'I love being in nature and it's part of how I stay grounded and don't totally lose my mind,' the Goop founder, 52, told PEOPLE exclusively at the May 8 debut of 'The Forest Within,' Paltrow's installation on the Cellar Stage at New York City's The Genesis House. It's an immersive, walk-through experience designed by Paltrow to reflect the union of nature and technology, and is on display until June 29. 'We are also afraid of technology on a certain level … we can't really anticipate what's coming,' Paltrow told PEOPLE. 'This was like, 'Maybe it can be really soulful.' ' As for the bucolic setting, Paltrow explained, 'I love being in nature and it's part of how I stay grounded and don't totally lose my mind, right? And so I thought, 'Wow, maybe we could translate that into an escape from the urban overwhelm, and society, and culture, and everything — and create this beautiful meditative space.' Gwyneth Paltrow X Genesis House "The Forest Within" begins with a walk through a representation of Korea's Sobaek Mountains to a verdant forest oasis. "You kind of can't help but sort of exhale and kind of like become present and sort of get back into your body," she says. It's part of her ongoing journey, Paltrow tells PEOPLE, as she's 'really trying to work on calming my nervous system and being present in my body, which I have not historically been good at. You can do all the exercise and meditation and early sleep and IVs and all the things, supplements, but if your nervous system is hijacked and you can't experience the present moment, the quality of your life goes down meaningfully.' Among reading 'a lot of books' — The Anatomy of Anxiety by Dr. Ellen Vora is her current read, she says — she's been 'trying to get the nervous system calm and one of the most immediate ways is to be in nature and to be in the sounds of nature and the smells. It's all the negative ions of the forest or the ocean. We really did try to create that.' "The Forest Within" is on display at The Genesis House until June 29. Genesis could tackle Defender with luxury off-roader
After launching only with sedans, Korean luxury brand Genesis has been busily rolling out SUVs – and its latest concept car could be among its upcoming new models. 'The X Gran Equator is a new potential addition to a lineup which is already quite big,' Genesis chief creative officer Luc Donckerwolke told Australian media at this month's New York motor show. 'In a couple of years we have reached a family of SUVs… We have shown last year there's another one coming, a flagship SUV, very soon,' he added, referring to the upcoming GV90 previewed by last year's Neolun concept. Hundreds of new car deals are available through CarExpert right now. Get the experts on your side and score a great deal. Browse now. Supplied Credit: CarExpert 'Now the question is: how do we position the Gran Equator within this lineup? How do we ensure there's not going to be an overlap or cannibalisation between those vehicles? 'I do believe there's room for that.' Once the GV90 is launched, Genesis will have four SUVs: the small, electric-only GV60; the mid-size GV70, available with combustion or electric power; and the large, combustion-powered GV80, which is expected to be among the first Genesis models to get the brand's upcoming 2.5-litre hybrid powertrain. These SUVs complement the mid-size G70 sedan and wagon, the large G80 sedan, and the flagship G90 limousine offered overseas – the latter of which could spawn coupe and/or convertible variants. Supplied Credit: CarExpert Genesis hasn't released powertrain details for the X Gran Equator concept, nor has it released dimensions. However, it's clearly on the larger side, particularly with that lengthy bonnet. While its chunky Ridge Grappler LT315/45R24 tyres wrapped around huge 24-inch wheels point to a level of off-road ability, the X Gran Equator's long bonnet and two-row seating configuration – if not its squared-off lines – call to mind sleek, more coupe-like SUVs like the defunct Infiniti QX70. Mr Donckerwolke said the X Gran Equator concept isn't a flight of fantasy, and is technically feasible. Supplied Credit: CarExpert 'Basically, the Gran Equator was designed by my team in a very short time. Like all the other projects, I make sure that because of my engineering team being involved in the project that all those projects are feasible, that we don't have to face any big hurdles if we have to realise that would basically make the project unsuitable,' he said. 'From the technical point of view, the platform works, the technical side works, now it's obviously the demand.' Mr Donckerwolke told media in New York that between the show and the concept's unveiling at the Genesis House retail location the night before, it had already received a positive reception internally. 'Everybody has called and asked, 'When can I have it?'. All the regions have been. I think this is a big progress,' he said. Supplied Credit: CarExpert Supplied Credit: CarExpert 'It's plugging into the SUV emotion, it's going back to the off-road capability that actually makes those SUVs genuine and authentic.' While it has key Genesis design cues like its Twin Lamp split-level lighting, it doesn't simply look like a smaller or larger version of any existing SUV from Hyundai's premium brand. 'It has its own character… We don't want to do the Russian dolls. All the cars have their own characters, their own specific tailored design,' said Mr Donckerwolke. Unique details on the concept's exterior include a split-opening tailgate, and four individual sunroofs. Supplied Credit: CarExpert Supplied Credit: CarExpert Inside, Genesis designers went for a mixture of analogue and digital design elements. There's no touchscreen – an omission that would surely be rectified with a production version – but there are four discrete digital dials said to be inspired by the dials of vintage cameras. There's a crystal-look rotary controller similar to that in the GV60, while some of the switchgear on and around the steering wheel is reminiscent of that in current Genesis models. Supplied Credit: CarExpert The swivelling front seats are unique to the X Gran Equator, however, as are the chunky grab handles on either side of the centre stack and rear centre console. The cabin has a two-tone colourway, while the upholstery has a diamond pattern – another example of Genesis' G-Matrix patterning. Genesis says its concept 'marries on-road sophistication with off-road resilience', though it hasn't shared any technical specifications of the vehicle, such as dimensions or powertrain type. The luxury brand's concepts usually lead to production vehicles, with the exception of its various two-door coupe and convertible concepts – none of which, thus far, have entered production.
