George, Jackson narcotics operation leads to 19 arrests, over 600 grams of narcotics seized
GEORGE COUNTY, Miss. (WKRG) — A narcotics operation coined Operation 'Rotten Egg' resulted in the arrests of 19 people and over 600 grams of drugs seized in George and Jackson counties, according to the George County Sheriff's Office. 'Recipe for disaster': Residents voice concerns over proposed landfill in South Mobile County According to a news release from GCSO, the operation included the Mississippi Bureau of Narcotics Gulfport District Office, the Coastal Narcotics Enforcement Team, the FBI Safe Streets Task Force, and local law enforcement agencies. The operation was 'a coordinated effort targeting drug trafficking and gang activity in Jackson and George Counties,' the release said. According to the release, the operation led to 31 undercover drug purchases, and the seizure of 390.47 grams of methamphetamine, 86 dosage units of Hydrocodone and 38 dosage units of Oxycodone in George County alone. Another 232 grams of methamphetamine and multiple firearms were recovered Tuesday during the arrest phase of the operation, according to GCSO. These people face felony charges as a result of the operation, and are in custody: Vickie Eubanks — sale of a controlled substance Horace Randolph Eubanks Jr. — two counts of sale of a controlled substance Terry Neim Ross, who is also known as 'GP' — three counts of sale of a controlled substance Von Ray Dunham — sale of a controlled substance Marcus Eugene Fairley — two counts of sale of a controlled substance Don Michael Howell — two counts of sale of a controlled substance Jane Lois Foster — sale of a controlled substance Jimi Levar Watts — sale of a controlled substance James Everett — sale of a controlled substance Lawrence Anthony Steele — conspiracy to distribute a controlled substance Audrey Elisabeth Hollis — conspiracy to distribute a controlled substance, Mississippi Department of Corrections violation Kendrick D. Booker — three counts of sale of a controlled substance, conspiracy to distribute a controlled substance Kelsey Dominque Hembree — possession of a controlled substance Eric Dewayne Holloway — possession of a controlled substance The following people are still wanted: Larry Eugene Fairley — two counts of sale of a controlled substance Elliot Roosevelt Jack — possession of a controlled substance Kimberly Irene Dickson — possession of a controlled substance Joshua Del Houston Jr. — sale of a controlled substance Brittany Lakiea Moody — two counts of sale of a controlled substance 'Operations like 'Rotten Egg' are essential to disrupting the networks that threaten the health and safety of our communities,' George County Sheriff Mitchell Mixon said. 'Every dose removed from circulation is a step toward a safer Mississippi.' 2 George County deputies to be added to National Law Enforcement Officers Memorial
GEORGE COUNTY, Miss. (WKRG) — Two George County Sheriff's Office deputies who died while having been a member of the force are being added to the National Law Enforcement Officers Memorial in Washington, D.C. Grand Bay man accused of human trafficking: Mobile police Deputy Robert 'Bobby' Daffin Jr. and Deputy Jeremy Malone are two of 345 names being added to the wall in 2025, according to the National Law Enforcement Officers Memorial Fund website. Deputy Daffin was a 14-year narcotics officer for the sheriff's office when he died at 37 years old after contracting COVID-19 while on the job in 2021. Deputy Malone died four days into 2024 after a routine traffic stop turned into a shooting at the Dollar General on Highway 98 in Lucedale. 148 officers on this year's list died in 2024, and 197 of them died before 2024.
