'I feel like that's building a relationship, just getting more chemistry and stuff. That's important to me.' Georgia Bulldogs head coach Kirby Smart© Joshua L. Jones / USA TODAY NETWORK via Imagn Images Bennett sent a message of sorts to the Bulldogs during his conversation with Johnson as well. Advertisement 'They're still recruiting me very hard, pushing me to come there,' Bennett said. 'There is one committed in the position where they see me. "At the receiver position, you can't just have one, you have to have multiple guys. I feel like the commits that they have, they're going to need a few more to complete the 2026 class.' Standing at 6-feet tall and 170 pounds, Bennett is the No. 34 receiver and No. 33 Florida prospect in the 2026 recruiting class according to the 247 Sports composite rankings. Bennett is also the No. 217 overall recruit in the class. As Bennett mentioned, Georgia has a smaller than average 2026 class entering June. The Bulldogs have received 11 verbal commitments in the class, but those verbals have come from highly rated prospects. Advertisement Of those commitments, three of them are from receivers -- four-star wideouts Vance Spafford and three-star recruits Brady Marchese and Ryan Mosley. Georgia QB Commit Jared Curtis Sends Clear Message to No. 1 Overall Recruit

It's been an exciting offseason for Kirby Smart and the Georgia Bulldogs. Earlier this week, they landed the top quarterback prospect in the 2026 class — Jared Curtis. The Nashville Christian School star announced his commitment to Georgia and is set to join the Bulldogs after his senior season. But the Bulldogs aren't stopping there. Georgia is now targeting another elite talent in the 2026 class. Advertisement On Tuesday, Hayes Fawcett of On3 Sports posted that the Bulldogs could potentially land another piece, and he is also a five-star recruit. "Curtis, the No. 1 QB in '26 committed to UGA earlier today and told me he's targeting No. 1 Recruit Jackson Cantwell the hardest." Curtis responded to the post with a simple but direct message to Cantwell: "Let's do it." Jared Curtis, InstagramJared Curtis, Instagram Curtis becomes the first No. 1 quarterback in the country to commit to Georgia since Matthew Stafford back in 2006. He was named both Gatorade Player of the Year and Mr. Football in Tennessee after a stellar junior season. The 6-foot-4 signal caller threw for 40 touchdowns and added 18 on the ground. His parents, Christian Cantwell and Terri Steer, are Olympic shot putters. The 6-foot-8 offensive tackle is also a standout in shot put and plays high school football at Nixa High School in Missouri. Browns host Georgia Football LB Jalon Walker on 2025 NFL draft visit

Browns host Georgia Football LB Jalon Walker on 2025 NFL draft visit The Cleveland Browns are hosting top linebacker prospect and former Georgia Bulldog Jalon Walker for a 2025 NFL draft pre-draft visit. This news is according to NFL Network's Ian Rapoport. Walker has emerged as one of the top defensive players in the 2025 NFL Draft. His visit is a sign that the Browns are doing their due diligence on potential trade-down candidates as they hold the No. 2 overall pick in the draft. This could also be to smokescreen to opposing teams that they have an interest in their pick to drive up the price. During his three-year collegiate career, Walker was an excellent player for the Georgia Bulldogs. In 2024, the Butkus Award winner recorded 60 combined tackles and 6.5 sacks in 14 games. Having just turned 21 years old in February, his potential at the professional level is sky-high. This pick would also make sense, given the uncertain future of star linebacker Jeremiah Owusu-Koramoah. Considering recent rumors surrounding Cleveland's second-overall pick, selecting Walker would be a bold move. Currently, the team is favored to select Heisman winner Travis Hunter from the Colorado Buffaloes. However, if the Browns were to trade down from their top pick, selecting Jalon Walker would become a more serious option.
