The Amazing Race Finale Recap: Which Team Outran the Competition to Become the Season 37 Champs?

Twelve long legs and 10 countries later, The Amazing Race finally has a new set of champions! Thursday's finale saw the remaining teams land back in the States, as the season concluded in a very stormy Miami. But since Wednesday's episode ended in a cliffhanger, which team was the last to arrive to the mat in Portugal? Despite Jonathan and Ana's broken mosaic tile in Porto, they were still able to find Phil ahead of Josiah and Alyssa — a real bummer for the 52% of TVLine readers who thought the married nurses should win the season. But if there's ever another all-stars or returnees edition, let's hope we'll see Josiah and Alyssa back at the starting line. Georgie & Mandy's Emily Osment, EP Talk Threat to First Marriage (Chris Gorham!) and Season 2 Plans Law & Order: Organized Crime Recap: Why Is Stabler Purring? and Other Episode 6 Thoughts For the twelfth and final leg of Season 37, Jonathan and Ana, Carson and Jack, and Han and Holden headed to Miami for a Scramble full of water-based activities. In Sail, teams had to sail around a marked course at a yacht club; in Soar, they were tasked with hydroflighting above the Biscayne Bay; and in Save, they had to complete a rescue training exercise, which included jet-skiing out and rescuing a (dummy) victim floating in the water. Ana, who almost drowned as a child, still had reservations about being in the open ocean, calling it one of her biggest fears. To her credit, she admirably conquered that fear throughout the entire run. Every team struggled during the hydroflighting challenge, though Han's surfing/balance skills once again came in handy for the siblings. (How cool did that look, though? Adding it to my bucket list, ASAP!) Not only did the players have to get up and stand on the hydroflight, but 60 seconds!? That seems like an eternity! Jonathan and Ana wrongly assumed the task would be more of a heights-based thing, so the mostly terrified Ana stepped up for their team… and took a few mouthfuls of saltwater after some gnarly diggers. Throughout the leg, Jonathan and Ana slowly fell out of the competition. And for everything positive that Han and Holden accomplished, it seemed they just couldn't complete things fast enough in order to stay competitive with Carson and Jack. (A little fender bender on the road didn't really help either.) Carson and Jack were the first to figure out that they needed to get to Domino Park in Little Havana, where they received another clue directing them to Ice Palace Film Studios. The teams were then presented with one monster of a puzzle. In pure Race fashion, teams had to match up the people, places and things they experienced with the game-changing surprises they encountered throughout the season (the Driver's Seat, Fast Forward, etc.). The puzzle also spelled out 'Amazing Race' using 3-D puzzle blocks and photo pieces. This one was not a walk in the park. Carson and Jack maintained their lead, completing the puzzle and racing off to the finish line at LoanDepot park, home of the Miami Marlins. By the time the race came to an end, it was no surprise when Carson and Jack were declared the official winners of The Amazing Race. Han and Holden took second place, leaving Jonathan and Ana in third. So what did you think about the s big finale? Did the right team win? Vote in our polls below, then light up the comments section! CBS Tops Nielsen's Ranking of 35-Day Multiplatform Viewing — How Did ABC, CBS and Fox Fare This Season?

CBS Tops Nielsen's Ranking of 35-Day Multiplatform Viewing — How Did ABC, CBS and Fox Fare This Season? America's Most-Watched Network… still is. Nielsen on Wednesday morning released its first full-season ranking of broadcast networks based on 35-day multiplatform viewing, and CBS easily leads the Big 4 with an average of 9.1 million total viewers (including linear airing and streaming). More from TVLine Helping float CBS to the top of the chart were six of the eight most-watched series — No. 1 Tracker, No. 2 Matlock, Georgie & Mandy's First Marriage, Ghosts, Elsbeth and Watson — and 11 out of the Top 20. ADVERTISEMENT CBS also is home to four of the top six new series: the aforementioned Matlock, Georgie & Mandy and Watson, plus NCIS: Origins. NBC placed No. 2 overall with 7.2 million viewers, followed by ABC (6.9 million) and, in a distant fourth, Fox (4.3 million). (The CW was not reported.) Rank Show (Network) Total Viewers* 1 Tracker (CBS) 17.5 million 2 Matlock (CBS) 16.1 million 2 High Potential (ABC) 16.1 million 4 Georgie & Mandy (CBS) 12.1 million 4 Ghosts (CBS) 12.1 million 6 Will Trent (ABC) 11.6 million 7 Elsbeth (CBS) 11.5 million 7 Watson (CBS) 11.5 million 9 9-1-1 (ABC) 11.2 million 10 Shifting Gears (ABC) 11.1 million 11 The Rookie (ABC) 10.7 million 12 FBI (CBS) 10.6 million 12 NCIS (CBS) 10.6 million 14 Blue Bloods (CBS) 10.1 million 15 Chicago P.D. Netflix's Squid Game (easily) leads that pack with 27.1 million viewers (based on 35-day multiplatform viewing), followed by Netflix's Adolescence (19 million), Prime Video's Reacher (18.1 million), and then Tracker, Matlock and High Potential. Further down that chart you find Georgie & Mandy and Ghosts (tied for 15th), ABC's Will Trent (No. 17), and Elsbeth and Watson (tied for 18th). Want SCOOP on any of the TV shows above? Matt's Inside Line: Scoop on NCIS, The Rookie, Chicago P.D., Georgie & Mandy, Criminal Minds, NCIS: Sydney, Ghosts and More!

Will The Rookie's Lucy make the cut? Is Chicago P.D. heading for more than a season-ending wedding? Which Aussie landmark is ready for its NCIS: Sydney close-up? Read on for answers to those questions and others! (You can and should email any brand-new Qs to InsideLine@ 'Georgie & Mandy,' 'Chicago P.D.,' 'Ghosts' and 'The Rookie' Courtesy of CBS (2), NCB and ABC Are you able to give us one last Ghosts spoiler before this Thursday's finale? I'll take anything! –Fire When we asked star Asher Grodman what kind of cliffhanger we were in store for, he told us, 'I don't think it's going to be as agonizing as others have been, but I think it is going to make you be just a little mad at us that we don't have another episode right afterwards.' More from TVLine ADVERTISEMENT Any scoop on Will Trent? –Claire Three words: Must. Watch. Tonight's Episode. Live. (And then come to TVLine after for a post mortem with Erika Christensen, who made her directorial debut with this big episode.) Should Criminal Minds fans expect anything from Tara's past to come up this season? –Alyssa 'This season is going to be deeply personal for Tara,' Aisha Tyler shared with me during her Monday afternoon visit to TVLine's NYC video studio. 'We get to dive into my backstory, which has been really beautiful.' On the romantic front, meanwhile, 'Every big obstacle is facing Tara and Rebecca' — including, perhaps, Papa Lewis' wish to meet the special lady in Tara's life. (Stay tuned for full video later this week!) Anything you can tell us about Criminal Minds: Evolution season premiere? –Andrea Prentiss gets this season's first quotation read! And while not in the premiere, I believe JJ got Season 18's first curse word? What can you tease about the Chicago P.D. Season 12 finale other than the Burzek wedding? –Demar 'We coming for Reid's ass. And there's going to be a wedding, and it's going to be a good time. That's all I can say,' cast member Toya Turner says about the finale. 'I wish I could tell you more, like, about how [Burgess] looks, but she looks gorgeous. It was fun to shoot that, not just as the last episode, but also, we shot that on the last day of the shooting schedule, and it was nice to all be together.' ADVERTISEMENT Now that Wednesday's Season 2 premiere has been announced, has there been any word on Fred Armisen's Uncle Fester spin-off? –James The one that Netflix reportedly was 'in talks' about a year-and-a-half ago? I asked around, but there are zero updates at this time. Can you tease anything more about Christopher Gotham's appearance on Georgie & Mandy? -Lindsey While I can't give away anything more than what was teased when his casting was first announced, I can tell you that you should expect to see him around beyond the hour-long Season 1 finale (airing Thursday, May 15). Will the Absolutely Fabulous: Inside & Out reunion special ever be available to watch here in the U.S.? –Dre I reached out to BBC Studios, and a deal has not yet been made for the retrospective documentary's Stateside release. Is the New Amsterdam sequel series going to be ordered for the fall of 2025? –Zachary No one at NBC is commenting, so… I guess we will find out on or around Monday, ahead of the NBCU Upfront presentation! I just read your NCIS finale interview and was sad to see no Jimmy/Jess updates. Did he say anything about them for Season 23? –A.J. I did ask about the former couple, and showrunner Steven D. Binder affirmed 'there is more' to be done with them next season — though it could mean things get, um, worse. 'Another beat [in that story] doesn't mean they're back together again, because, while heartwarming and cute, that was not particularly dramatic,' he explained. 'I think that's why it ran its course. But yeah, there's more there, for sure.' ADVERTISEMENT Any updates on Eragon, Heroes: Eclipsed, Anansi Boys, or Halo Season 3? –Malivore I answered a version of this last October, but, sure, I'll play your little game one last time. The answers are: still in development at Disney+; currently on pause, sources tell me; possibly not making that previously scooped Q2 date; and Xbox has 'nothing to share at this time.' Any early scoop on NCIS: Sydney Season 3? –Dee When I asked showrunner Morgan O'Neill about a most conspicuous local landmark that has yet to be featured on the CBS procedural, this was his excited response: 'If you're a fan of the Sydney Opera House, which I am — it's one of the great buildings of the 20th century, it opened in the year of my birth, and it's the iconic building of Sydney — you will not be disappointed by Episode 1 of Season 3.' Any scoop on the Grey's Anatomy season finale? –Fabio I have been told that the May 15 episode, titled 'How Do I Live,' is a 'very Grey's finale' — meaning, you should expect a big, crazy cliffhanger. With FBI: Most Wanted sadly ending, I really need to know if anything will be happening with Scolina before the seasons end? –Marissa I wouldn't count on any last Scola/Nina scenes this spring on either FBI or the terminal Most Wanted, no. Any scoop on #Chenford and Lucy's sergeants exam results and fallout over the final two episodes of The Rookie? –Emily Having seen the last two episodes of the season, I can tease that there is a twist or two regarding those exam results. (Said differently, there is a question I have not seen fans asking about one possible outcome….) Bonus scoop: The stuff with Nya and Angela's moms in tonight's episode is highly entertaining. (In short, the two detectives had no idea their moms had become friends!) The Skip Tracer Randy stuff is… less so, as much as I love Meg DeLacy. ADVERTISEMENT Is there any news about the planned spin-off of The Rookie? –Nicole 'I feel really good about the script,' Rookie boss Alexi Hawley shared with me when last we spoke. 'Ultimately, we're waiting to hear what the needs are [at ABC], but I feel very positive about it.' That said…. 'My caveat, said with a genuine laugh, is that I also felt very positive about Season 3 of [Netflix's] The Recruit, and it ended up not happening,' Hawley acknowledged. 'But look, it's apples and oranges. We just got a Season 8 on Rookie, the show works really well for them…. Beyond that, it's out of my hands.' Matt's Inside Line: Scoop on Psych 4, Criminal Minds, Chicago Med, Daredevil, Cleaning Lady, Doctor Who, a Power Outage and More!

Do Gus and Shawn fans have reason to get Psych'd? What's the prognosis for Chicago Med's season finale? Is a gruesome beach party on tap for the Criminal Minds agents? Read on for answers to those questions and others! (.) More from TVLine Georgie & Mandy Adds Christopher Gorham as Someone From Mandy's Romantic Past... and Future? Chicago Med's Luke Mitchell Previews 'Most Challenging' Episode He's Ever Shot, Talks Ripley/Hannah Breakup Georgie & Mandy EP Reflects on Lance Barber's Return as George Sr. - Will the Young Sheldon Patriarch Recur? There were rumblings of another movie. Any updates? I need gus screaming at my screen again. –DaveWe reached out to franchise co-lead James Roday Rodriguez, who co-wrote the first three standalone flicks, and he said, 'Our creative team is ready and have been ready but, unfortunately, it takes two to tango. If the fans really want to make some noise, they should direct their energy towards the Cock.' As in Peacock, of course. (The streamer itself has no updates to share.) Please hurry with shooting Season 4! I'm having withdrawal symptoms! –CherrylYikes, you'd be wise to tide yourself over with a Seasons 1-3 rewatch. Because the Neagley spinoff is in production now, and since the two shows largely share the same crew, Reacher Season 4 won't get its cameras rolling until after. What can you tease about the finale? –AbbyIt's not about what I can tease, but what showrunner Allen MacDonald just told Inside Line about Season 10's closer: 'Circumstance forces Dr. Charles to face a dark legacy in his family; Goodwin confronts her demons as she makes some deeply difficult decisions, both personal and professional; and there will also be some unexpected faces returning.' But wait, there's more! 'The final minutes of the hour will have some big shocks with lasting ripple effects,' MacDonald warned. 'It's going to be a very long summer for Chicago Med fans!' Could we get some information about Season 18 please? And a trailer date/stills? –IsabellaWould you settle for… a singular exclusive photo from the new season premiering Thursday, May 8? Because there's a very moody one right above! I've noticed that 2×18 is titled 'I Know What You Did Thirty-Three Summers Ago' while 4×20 is similarly titled 'I Know What You Did Thirty-Seven Summers Ago' — and they both air the same night (April 24). This doesn't seem like a coincidence, and obviously the shows cannot crossover, but is there a reason for them to match? Or am I reading too much into things? I figure it's promotion for the new requel in July, but I'm not sure. –MarvinThat is a very fun coincidence, though I am told by CBS it is merely that — a fun coincidence. Anything you can reveal about the finale? –BernI'll have a tease-filled story going up tonight, after the penultimate Season 1 episode streams on Disney+, but until then I can share that the April 15 episode includes a flashback that gives us better insight into a key event from the series. Is there any chance that Season 2 will drop its three weekly episodes in the morning versus nighttime? None of their specify a time, which I find… curious. – catch, J.T.! Alas, I am assured that each weekly blast of three episodes will indeed release at 9 pm ET/6pm PT, starting Tuesday, April 22. (This is where we all give our bosses/staffs/professors a heads-up that we'll be rolling in late for a month of Wednesdays.) Can you share anything new on ? — ShirleyIf you've been waiting for Thony and Jorge's longtime chemistry to give way to something more than platonic, you'll be pleased with a certain scene in the Fox drama's fourth episode (airing Tuesday, April 15). Any updates on ? –JoeyWe asked around, and…. nope, none at this time. Is there any scoop on when will return? I know NBC announced in a press release that it will be coming back, but I was just curious when to expect it. –FionaI am hearing that The Wall won't return with new episodes until the 2025-26 TV season. Will we see Johnny Sibilly's character, Wilson, in the new season of ? –LeonardoSeeing as most of Hacks' new season takes place on the set of Deborah's late-night series in Los Angeles, the Vegas water inspector (and Marcus' ex) played by Sibilly is unfortunately not seen in Season 4. There are plenty of other fun blasts from the past and surprising guest stars sprinkled in throughout, but we can't divulge any names yet. With . being axed for the third and likely final time, is it possible we'll get a Street-Chris wedding for the finale? Or at least get to see them and Luca one more time before the show wraps? –ShonNah, as suggested by the synopsis for the two-hour series finale airing May 16, it will be business as usual for 20-Squad — and that is 100% by design. As showrunner Andrew Dettmann told me, 'Even if we're no longer airing each week, we want the viewers to feel that Hondo and 20-Squad will go on, that 20-Squad will always be out there taking down the bad guys and protecting the city of L.A.' Will there ever be a second (or more) season of with Toni Collette? Pleaaaase say yes!! Thank you! –ElizabethWould that I could say yes, Elizabeth, but I have just confirmed that The Power is in fact cancelled and will not be returning for Season 2. How soon will reveal what Mrs. Flood meant by the 'absolute terror' ahead? — DougAs you watch this coming Saturday's season opener, you might think she was alluding to the shocking closing sequence — but it sounds like she had something far more specific in mind. 'I absolutely promise you all will be explained,' says showrunner Russell T Davies. 'That 'absolute terror' gets referred to again, and whereas last year [Anita Dobbins] was in four episodes, this year it's the full eight.' Do YOU want scoop or have questions about a favorite show?
