Wichita Falls students unite to raise money for Kramer Bernard Memorial Fund
WICHITA FALLS (KFDX/KJTL) — The Wichita Falls Independent School District community honored a student's life and legacy Friday after he was killed in an ATV crash in April.
The Legacy High School Student Council Class of 2026 hosted 'Kray-Day' on May 16. It was a pickleball event to benefit the Kramer Bernard Memorial Fund.
The fund honors Bernard, a Barwise Middle School student, who died on April 18, 2025.
Gigi Harvey, student council president, said the pickleball event was a great way to support the family.
'It's just amazing how much our community has come together to support their family. It has made them feel so good,' Harvey said. 'The foundation's already made so much, and this is just another something that shows how much they are loved.'
Grants from the memorial fund will support youth recreation and athletics in the Wichita Falls community.
