Glasgow Rangers bar reveals drinks to celebrate new manager

Fan favourite watering hole, Oswald's Bar in the city centre, has added two new drinks to their cocktail menu to honour the new head coach. Russell Martin was unveiled at a press conference at the stadium today. The former Southampton manager has signed a three-year deal. Oswald's couldn't wait to show their excitement for the new man at the helm, and have knocked up the concoctions to serve to punters. The first drink they've added is a special red, white, and blue cocktail called 'Russell Martini'. The second, the 'Pinder Colada', is named after Russell's girlfriend, Lucy Pinder, and shares the same colour scheme. Sharing the second cocktail, they said: "Due to extremely high demand... of course we had to name one after Russell's girlfriend. We're delighted to announce Oswald's new 'Pinder Colada'." Fans flocked to the comments to share their excitement for the new drinks, one said: "Class send deliveries late lunch." Another joked: "We might need a few drinks if results don't go the way we all hope for." While one criticised Russell's press conference performance earlier: "Fitting since his interview was extra dry. We will need a gallon of them to listen to him." But another hoped the cocktail was a sign of things to come: "Let's hope he leaves our opponents shaken AND stirred this season." The Glasgow Times reported from Ibrox earlier today, June 5, as fans gathered outside to try and catch a glimpse of the club's new manager. However, there wasn't much fanfare, as little more than a dozen fans turned up hoping to see Russell—a stark contrast to Steven Gerrard's unveiling in 2018. Fans who had made the trip to Ibrox were divided over whether the 'underwhelming' new manager was the right man for the job.

Feyenoord compete with Rangers for signature of Ghanaian international

Feyenoord have set their sights on Ghanaian defender Ebenezer Annan, the Daily Record reports. The 22-year-old Red Star Belgrade left-back is high on the Rotterdam club's wishlist, as uncertainty remains about who will play at left-back next season. Annan, a two-time Ghanaian international, has previously been linked to Glasgow Rangers, but now also seems to be on Feyenoord's radar. According to Serbian media, the Rotterdammers are even preparing a bid for the defender, who reportedly has a price tag of around 2.4 million euros. Advertisement The left-back started his European career at Bologna, where he played one match in Serie A three years ago. After a loan spell at OFK Beograd he moved to Red Star, where he played a part in winning the Serbian league title with fourteen appearances. Feyenoord are hoping to continue business with the Belgrade giants, following the signing of South Korean dynamo, In-beom Hwang. With his strong performances, Annan has attracted the interest of several European clubs, but Feyenoord are determined to emerge as favourites. The Rotterdammers currently have three left-backs, namely Quilindschy Hartman, Hugo Bueno and Gijs Smal. A departure of Hartman has yet to be ruled out this summer, while the rented Bueno will return to Wolverhampton Wanderers. GBeNeFN | Max Bradfield

Hamza Igamane Wins Double Honours at Rangers Awards Night

Glasgow Rangers forward Hamza Igamane has been crowned both Young Player of the Year and Goal of the Season at the club's annual awards ceremony on Sunday evening. The 22-year-old, who joined Rangers from AS FAR last summer, has enjoyed an impressive debut campaign, scoring 15 goals and providing three assists across 42 appearances in all competitions. In a statement, the club said: 'It was a second award of the night for Hamza Igamane, who picked up the Men's Young Player of the Year prize. In his first season with Rangers, the 22-year-old has adapted perfectly to life in Glasgow and has already produced some big moments in the light blue jersey.' Igamane also claimed the Goal of the Season award for his memorable strike against Celtic at Parkhead in March. 'A first Old Firm goal for Hamza Igamane saw him land the Men's Goal of the Season award for his memorable strike at Parkhead. Coming off the bench, the Moroccan had a huge impact with his superb finish in the 3-2 win,' Rangers said. The Moroccan international signed a five-year deal with the Scottish side, tying him to Ibrox until June 2029. Igamane's stock has also risen considerably this season, with Transfermarkt valuing him at €4 million — up from the €2.5 million Rangers reportedly paid for his services. The forward recently made a substitute appearance for Morocco in their World Cup 2026 qualifier against Niger. Tags: glasgow rangersigamane
