MUSCAT: The National Bank of Oman (NBO) has been awarded the Most Innovative Digital Retail Bank in Oman for 2024 by the Global Business Outlook Awards, reaffirming its commitment to transforming the banking experience through cutting-edge digital solutions tailored to customer needs. Among them is the launch of Eid note dispensing machines, the first of their kind in Oman, strategically placed across five locations. This service addresses the common challenge of obtaining Eidiya notes during Eid, further reinforcing the Bank's focus on customer-centric solutions. In addition, NBO has rolled out self-service kiosks at multiple locations, offering a broad range of banking services without the need to visit a branch. These kiosks enable customers to open new accounts, apply for Debit and Badeel Prepaid Cards, renew or replace Debit and Badeel Prepaid Cards, and top up Badeel Prepaid Cards, ensuring a seamless and efficient banking experience. Further strengthening its digital offerings, NBO introduced Oman's first digital credit card application facility, allowing both existing and new customers to apply for credit cards using digital signatures, in compliance with Central Bank of Oman guidelines. The Bank has also launched a new digital verification and update feature on the NBO app, enabling customers to quickly and securely update their personal details, enhancing service personalization while ensuring compliance with Know Your Customer (KYC) regulations.
