MoUs worth ₹10,328 cr to be signed at tourism tech conclave
A two-day 'Andhra Pradesh Tourism Conclave- Tech AI 2.0' kicked off in Vijayawada on Thursday, bringing together stakeholders from various sectors of tourism on a common platform, eager to explore the State's tourism landscape. Chief Minister N. Chandrababu Naidu and Minister for Tourism Kandula Durgesh will attend the second day event on Friday (June 27). As many as 82 Memoranda of Understanding (MoUs) are expected to be signed pertaining to projects worth ₹10,328 crore. These investments are expected to create 22,325 jobs in over 7,600 hotel keys. Of the total 82 MoUs, 47 are related to hotel development, three for amusement parks and 32 others for water sports, sea cruises, adventure activities, homestays and caravans. The inaugurated session saw participation of former Chief Secretary S.P. Tucker, who is now heading the Global Forum for Sustainable Transformation (GFST), Tourism Secretary Ajay Jain, CEO and Managing Director of Andhra Pradesh Tourism Development Corporation Amrapali Kata along with other department officials. The participants were a blend of IAS officers, nodal officers, E&Y consultants, academic experts and industry leaders. They engaged in six thematic panel discussions on creative economy, products and projects, investments, tech AI, branding and marketing and capacity building. The panel discussion on creative economy was chaired by the Commissioner, Department of Handlooms and Textiles Rekha Rani, the panel on 'products and projects' was divided into two key segments of hotels, MICE and heritage, led by IAS officer Krishna Teja. Adventure tourism was moderated by the Managing Director of Antara Cruise Raj Singh. Discussion on investments was moderated by Ms. Amrapali, tech AI by CEO of Real Time Governance Society (RTGS) Prakhar Jain, branding and marketing by Director, Information and Public Relations Himanshu Shukla and discussion on capacity building was moderated by the Managing Director, Society for Society for Elimination of Rural Poverty (SERP) V. Karuna.

CM offers incentives to boost dairy sector
Vijayawada: Stating that the dairy sector plays a key role in the growth of rural economy, Chief Minister N Chandrababu Naidu on Wednesday announced incentives for fueling the growth of the dairy and livestock segments in the state. The Chief Minister announced the abolition of property tax on poultry sheds which was imposed during the previous government rule. He also promised to treat the veterinary services as essential services and provide subsidies for installation of solar panels on poultry sheds. The government will extend subsidies offered to micro irrigation facilities to the dairy sector too, he added. Addressing the Animal Husbandry Tech AI 2.0 conference organised jointly by Global Forum for Sustainable Transformation and Animal Husbandry Department here, the Chief Minister said that Animal Husbandry plays a key role in rural prosperity and women empowerment, rural employment generation and food security. 'AP is ranked first place in egg production and fifth place in meat production and seventh place in milk production,' he pointed out. The Chief Minister said that the State government has been taking initiative to strengthen indigenous breeds, training dairy farmers and make AP a role model for tech-driven rural growth. He said 42 lakh people are dependent on the livestock sector which is contributing 13.5 per cent to State Gross Domestic Product (GSDP). He also said that a programme will be designed to train the veterinary students at field level by introducing internships in the dairy and livestock sector. Naidu said with the changing food habits the demand for horticulture sector is also increasing manifold and stressed the need for increasing the cultivation of horticulture to improve the income of farmers. Earlier, the Chief Minister interacted with young entrepreneurs who demonstrated their innovations. When one entrepreneur explained on GoAadhaar to cattle on the lines of Aadhaar to people, Naidu advised him to take up the programme in one district as a pilot project and the government is ready to extend cooperation. Stating that the government is ready to encourage startups, the Chief Minister said that the state is moving forward using technology and integrating all the government services to RTGS for real time monitoring.

Livestock-based livelihoods key to economic upliftment, says Andhra Pradesh chief minister Chandrababu Naidu
Vijayawada: Chief minister N Chandrababu Naidu emphasized the transformative potential of the dairy sector in improving the lives of the poor, stating that livestock-based livelihoods offer a sustainable path to economic upliftment . He made these remarks while addressing the 'Animal Husbandry Tech AI 2.0 Conclave' in collaboration with the Global Forum for Sustainable Transformation (GFST) at Hotel Murali Fortune on said that agriculture and allied sectors always received priority under TDP governance, helping position Andhra Pradesh as a frontrunner in agriculture nationwide. He noted the event was a valuable platform for knowledge-sharing, urging all stakeholders to absorb new ideas and technological advances for sectoral chief minister pointed out that around 42 lakh families in the state rely on livestock for their livelihood. He emphasized the need to promote high-value horticulture crops, aiming to double horticultural coverage to 36 lakh hectares. Micro-irrigation will be central to this effort, he said. Naidu recalled submitting a landmark report on micro-irrigation during former Prime Minister Vajpayee's tenure, which continues to be used as a reference document. He reiterated Andhra Pradesh's leadership in implementing micro-irrigation stressed the importance of using technology and knowledge to enhance entrepreneurship in rural areas, adding that institutions like GFST were designed to encourage innovation in these sectors. While asserting that Andhra Pradesh leads the country in agriculture, Naidu acknowledged the need to strengthen the service and industrial sectors. He cited Telangana, where 67% of revenue comes from services, compared to just 46% in Andhra Pradesh. He called for a balanced approach to economic development that boosts all also noted global dietary shifts towards protein-rich and healthy foods, including interest in millets, fruits, and vegetables—offering further opportunity for horticulture expansion. The conclave included interactive sessions where the chief minister engaged with farmers and criticized the previous govt for plunging the state into a debt burden of ₹10 lakh crore, damaging the state's brand image and investor confidence. He claimed that industrialists avoided investing in Andhra Pradesh due to governance failures but are now returning due to restored credibility under his leadership. He reaffirmed the TDP govt's commitment to P4 (People, Public, Private Partnership for Progress) and poverty eradication by bridging economic gaps and enhancing living standards."Only those who adapt to change can lead," he said, noting how Indian—and particularly Telugu—professionals excelled globally, especially in IT. He cited Hyderabad's growth as a tech hub as an example of how strategic planning and innovation can uplift a region's fortunes.
