New Delhi, In a traditionally rigid industry like real estate, Godrej Properties is focusing on deepening intersectional inclusion by creating spaces for dialogue, representation, and visibility, especially for voices that are often underrepresented, a senior company official the past three years, Godrej Properties has further aligned to a more systemic and intent-based approach to inclusion. Our focus has been towards intentional actions to make Godrej Properties an inclusive workplace for LGBTQIA employees, Megha Goel, CHRO at Godrej Properties Limited, like the Pride Internship have helped build a strong talent pipeline and support their readiness for the real estate sector. It is a 9-month, on-the-job learning programme designed specifically for queer individuals, combining mentorship, role-based training, and a structured quarterly feedback module."We have learnt during this process and strengthened it by adding periodic reviews, deep capability building, mentorship and support, enabling on-the-job learning and a 50 per cent conversion to full-time roles. It enables interns to build confidence and capability, while giving our hiring managers direct experience of mentoring LGBTQ talent, thereby bridging unfamiliarity with insight and trust," Goel said."We have our 11th batch now underway. The programme has proven its value both as a talent pipeline as well as a culture builder. It has helped us reimagine hiring not as a gatekeeping function, but as a capability-building one, ensuring equity and not just access," she ensure that inclusivity functions as a business enabler rather than a siloed initiative, Goel said every employee is introduced to the company's inclusive values from day one, and this foundation has helped it create a workplace where equity is an integral part of its culture."We understand that finding talent from the LGBTQIA+ community, especially trans persons in technical, functional roles, can be rare.
