She travelled to Turkey for six reconstructive surgeries, which included a Brazilian butt lift (BBL), tummy tuck, liposuction, rhinoplasty (nose job), fox eyes, and breast augmentation. Prior to undergoing the procedures, Manzini had already begun a skin-lightening process. She said she had always dreamed of reconstructing parts of her body that she was unhappy with. 'I am doing it for my self-esteem and confidence, which I have always had throughout my life. Many men hide the fact that they've had surgeries, and it's time to normalise it among men and the LGBTQI community. 'There is no shame in seeking perfection, especially if you can afford it. 'Tyra will be remembered for her passion for healing others, unwavering kindness, dedication to her community and the joy she brought to everyone around her.' 'At this time, we ask for privacy and respect as her family and loved ones navigate this incredibly difficult moment.' Further information about Manzini's memorial and funeral service details will be shared 'in due course.' Earlier in the year, Manzini underwent several transformative surgeries, including a Brazilian butt lift, tummy tuck, liposuction, rhinoplasty, fox eye left and breast augmentation, in Turkey. Speaking to News24 in January, she said: 'Gym was not working for me and my shape – or I'm too lazy. I love clothes and fashion, but I found that clothes were just not sitting right on me. So, I decided if the body won't come to me, I need to fetch it. Everyone has something they wish to fix or adjust, but they are not brave enough. I am brave enough.' She also spoke about how proudly and boldly living as a transgender woman. 'I share my story and journey with people as I know there is someone out there who can relate to my struggles. I want to say that if you are uncomfortable with a certain body type, change it,' Manzini said. 'God has given you the authority to change what you don't like, whether body, sexuality, gender or even a job. This is not just a procedure for me, but a statement.'

A family member confirmed to City Press on Friday that the sangoma died on Thursday afternoon in her sleep at home. The relative said she had a short undisclosed illness. 'It was just a short thing. In the morning when we wake up, you are okay. In the afternoon you are no more,' said the family member. A statement was also posted on Sindane's Instagram page to confirm the devastating news. Tyra was a cherished friend, colleague, family member, public figure and mom, whose presence touched the lives of many. Tyra will be remembered for her passion for healing others, unwavering kindness, dedication to her community, and the joy she brought to everyone around her. She shared that her husband supported her through the journey and the procedures, including their stay in Turkey which cost about R600 000. The bubbly Sindane, who had also undergone skin-lightening, shared then that keeping her skin light was costly because of the weekly drips and skin products. She said her dream was to look like a Korean woman and she was preparing to undergo more surgeries next year. Last month, Sindane's team, friends and family celebrated her in a luxurious soiree party in Sandton on her birthday. She always kept her age a secret, saying that she did not want people to know how old she was.
