This Worcester gas station sold a winning $1 million lottery ticket
A winning $1 million lottery ticket was sold at a gas station in Worcester and claimed on Tuesday. The $1 million prize was from '$4,000,000 Gold 50X,' a $10 game released on Jan. 7. There are still four $1 million and two $4 million prizes remaining to be claimed as of May 7. The winning $1 million scratch ticket was sold at a Mobil gas station in Worcester. Overall, at least 502 prizes worth $600 or more were won or claimed in Massachusetts on Tuesday, including 12 in Springfield, 12 in Worcester and 53 in Boston. The Massachusetts State Lottery releases a full list of winning tickets every day. The list only includes winning tickets worth more than $600. The two largest lottery prizes won so far in 2025 were each worth $15 million. One of the prizes was from a winning 'Diamond Deluxe' scratch ticket sold in Holyoke, and the other was from a '300X' scratch ticket sold on Cape Cod. NEW BEDFORD, Mass. (WPRI) — A New Bedford man won a $1 million prize playing the state's '$4,000,000 Gold 50X' $5 instant ticket game. The Massachusetts State Lottery said Philip Medeiros chose a one-time payment of $650,000 before taxes. Medeiros told lottery officials he plans to use his winnings to buy a new car and go on vacation. SALEM, Mass. (WWLP) – A $1 million prize won in Salem was claimed last week at the Massachusetts State Lottery headquarters. Trustee Anthony Keck received the prize as a one-time payment of $650,000 before taxes. Keck said that the prize recipient plans to save their winnings. Collado won a $4 million grand prize in the Massachusetts State Lottery's "$4,000,000 Gold 50X" $10 instant ticket game, lottery officials said Wednesday. Collado won $1,000 on another instant ticket the day before and returned to the same store to purchase an additional ticket, which turned out to be the $4 million winner, lottery officials said in a news release. Collado claimed his prize on Tuesday at the Massachusetts State Lottery's headquarters in Dorchester, Mass. Collado bought his winning ticket at a Speedway located at 709 McGrath Highway in Somerville, Mass., lottery officials said. The store receives a $40,000 bonus for its sale of the ticket. "You can win more in Mass!" Collado said in a statement. Mass Lottery officials said Collado plans on investing his winnings. This is the second New Hampshire resident to win a seven-figure prize with a Massachusetts Lottery ticket in the last three months, officials said. On Dec. 10, a Nashua resident claimed a $1 million prize won on a Powerball ticket purchased at Mobil, 940 Andover St. in Tewksbury, Mass.
