HONG KONG: Popular actor Roger Kwok has dismissed claims suggesting a romantic relationship with actress and former Miss Hong Kong, Hilary Chong. Rumours began circulating after tabloids reported that Kwok, 60, had been giving private tennis lessons to Chong, 23, following their recent collaboration on the TVB drama Golden Forest. In a recent interview, Kwok urged the public not to take the rumours seriously, adding that such speculations could interfere with his chances of finding love. "Please don't make wild guesses and stop me from finding my true soulmate! I'm not seeing anyone currently, but if these rumours keep spreading, it will only scare people away," he said. Kwok, who finalised his divorce from former TVB star Cindy Au in 2024 after 18 years of marriage, described Chong as intelligent and gracious. Chong has also laughed off the rumours, reiterating that there will never be room for romantic development as she and Kwok share a "father-daughter relationship". The TVB actress, crowned Miss Hong Kong in 2023, further clarified that other Golden Forest co-stars were present on the day she played tennis with Kwok. "Our group is like one big family. Everyone shares a good familial relationship," she said.

26 May - Roger Kwok has recently dismissed rumours linking him romantically to former Miss Hong Kong Hilary Chong. Rumours of romance between the 60-year-old actor and 23-year-old beauty queen sparked after tabloids reported that Roger has been coaching Hilary in tennis privately after working together in the TVB drama, "Golden Forest". It was also rumoured that the actor, whose marriage with former actress Cindy Au ended last year, had surprised Hilary on her birthday back in April. Hilary had since denied the rumours, saying that while love knows no age boundaries, the two of them are just good friends. Meanwhile, when asked about it during a charity event in Sai Kung, Roger said that such rumour should not be taken seriously. "Let's not hinder my search for true love and affecting her at the same time. This is just a gossip," he added.
