Kanye West to sue dentist over malpractice claims
Ye, formerly known as Kanye West, is moving to sue his former Beverly Hills dentist, alleging he got him addicted to nitrous oxide gas, aka laughing gas. The rapper's lawyer sent Dr. Thomas Connelly a notice of intention to sue from Golden Law on April 30, according to The Hollywood Reporter. The letter accuses Connelly of malpractice, and giving West excessive amounts of nitrous oxide for non-medical purposes. 'Evidence shows that during the time Ye was under your care, you engaged in numerous inappropriate and dangerous practices that were far outside the bounds of any legitimate medical purpose or standard of care,' the letter obtained by the outlet reads. 'These actions were not isolated incidents but rather part of a pattern of improper conduct by you from 2024 through 2025 while Ye was your patient. Ms. Censori, as Ye's spouse, was a witness to and impacted by many of these events (some of which took place at their shared residence).' The letter, signed by Andrew Cherkasky, also claims that the dentist encouraged the rapper to use the gas unsupervised. West claims it caused adverse neurological and behavioral effects. 'As a result, in this instance, Ye suffered extreme mental and physical distress leading to urgent medical care,' Cherkasky wrote. 'In another instance, evidence suggests additional improper usage of propofol or similar controlled substances when Ye had diminished capacity and was not aware of or capable of knowingly consent for the usage of this substance due.' Various media outlets report that the 'Donda' rapper saw the dentist in 2024 and 2025 and saw him for numerous cosmetic procedures like prosthodontic work and a custom titanium crown. The cost of the services reportedly range from $50,000 a month to over 'hundreds of thousands.' 'You repeatedly administered or supplied nitrous oxide ('laughing gas') and/or other sedative substances to Ye in quantities and frequencies that had no legitimate dental or medical justification,' the letter stated. 'Notably, you went so far as to deliver large 'surgical-size' nitrous oxide tanks to Ye's personal residence (including the residence he shared with Ms. Censori), effectively enabling and encouraging him to inhale nitrous oxide outside of any medical setting.' Connelly is known as 'a pioneer in luxury cosmetic dentistry, crafting multi-million dollar smiles for some of the world's most influential figures in entertainment and sports,' according to his website Man Smile. 'With 25 years of expertise and locations in SoHo, NYC, and Beverly Hills, Dr. Connelly's precision and artistry are sought after worldwide. His extensive training includes the Mayo Clinic, University of Detroit Mercy, and Louisiana State University, and he has served as a clinical professor at Harvard University Dental School and Columbia School of Dental Medicine.' For years, West has been open about his mental health. On the cover of his 2018 album'ye,' text reads: 'I hate being Bi-Polar its (sic) awesome.' For most of his career, he's been known for his public outbursts. In recent years, he started airing out his prejudices and biases without restrictions or filters. Kanye West sues dentist, claiming he got him hooked on laughing gas
Kanye West and his wife, Bianca Censori (30), are suing the rapper's dentist for malpractice. The couple, who earlier this year seemed to he heading for divorce, appear to have patched up their differences and are now standing as one to fight this legal battle. A formal notice of intent to sue was sent to Dr Thomas Connelly by the couple's legal representation, Golden Law. The dentist is known for his large celebrity clientele, working with everyone from athletes to models. In the documents it is alleged that Connelly left the rapper to "fend for himself with a serious induced addiction" after undergoing dental procedures between 2024 to 2025. It alleges the dentist supplied Kanye (47) with nitrous oxide, also known as laughing gas, along with an intravenous anaesthetic. View this post on Instagram A post shared by Thomas Connelly, DDS (@connellydds) The couple's lawyers also claim that falsified billing and a multitude of other alleged crimes have also taken place. "Your actions and omissions were negligent, grossly negligent, and reckless, and some may have been intentional and malicious," the document reads. The lawyers say the dentist's actions have had serious consequences for the rapper. In 2024 Kanye's then chief of staff, Milo Yiannopoulos, came forward with a similar claim on social media. According to Daily Mail, he went as far as submitting an affidavit with a complaint to the California Dental Board regarding the matter. Milo believed that Dr Connelly knew of Kanye's 'psychological vulnerabilities' and 'sought to exploit them' with the nitrous oxide. He deemed the dentist's actions to be 'reckless, unethical, dishonest and exploitative'. Connelly's representatives have denied all claims of wrongdoing, dismissing the allegations as 'not only factually incorrect but also intentionally misleading'. In a statement Connelly says he follows all 'ethical and legal standards' and is committed to providing the best level of care for his clients. In recent months Kanye's erratic behaviour has frequently landed him in hot water. From swastika shirts on his clothing website to anti-#MeToo rhetoric and even making nasty comments about Beyoncé and Jay-Z's twins. In legal paperwork Bianca and Kanye seem to hint that this and their marital woes might have all been the result of his induced addiction. The document states that as a result of the rapper's dependence on laughing gas, which the dentist allegedly taught him to administer to himself, Bianca was "deprived of the companionship, support, services, and marital relationship of her husband". "Instead of enjoying a healthy married life, she was forced to witness Ye's physical and mental distress and deterioration," the couple's lawyers write, "and to assume the burden of caring for him under extremely distressing circumstances. These damages continue to mount as Ye works to rehabilitate his health and artistic endeavours."

Kanye West and Bianca Censori , the newly reconciled couple, have decided to sue the Beverly Hills dentist for supplying unnecessary amounts of nitrous gas and other illegal sedatives, making him addicted and ignoring the signs of the patient. Dr. Thomas Connelly from Golden Law, who has been the official dentist of the couple for a couple of years, did specialised procedures, prosthodontic work, a custom titanium crown and other cosmetic treatments in 2024. During the period, the dentist allegedly supplied an unsupervised amount of nitrous gas and illegal sedatives, making the rapper suffer through neurological damages and physical harm during the procedures along with wignificant emotional trauma and stress, according to The Hollywood Reporter. The doctor allegedly delivered a large 'surgical' size to the West's residence to encourage him to inhale the nitrous gas (laughing gas) outside any medical setting or need. He also supplied the drug propofol on multiple occasions outside medical settings. Kanye West And Bianca Censori Sue Former Dentist Over Alleged Nitrous Oxide Addiction And Malpractice
Kanye West and Bianca Censori are suing his former dentist for alleged malpractice involving powerful drugs. The couple's relationship has weathered recent public scrutiny and intense drama. From whirlwind fashion week appearances to near-nude red carpets and even temporary splits, West and Censori have remained a constant tabloid fixture. Now, they're shifting focus from headlines to a high-stakes legal battle. A formal notice of intent to sue was sent by Golden Law to Dr. Thomas Connelly, outlining serious claims of misconduct during West's time as his patient from 2024 into 2025. According to the letter, Connelly supplied West with nitrous oxide, also known as laughing gas, and even encouraged unsupervised use of the anesthetic despite visible side effects. The notice also mentions propofol, a powerful sedative, being administered in unsafe conditions. 'Evidence shows that during the time Ye was under your care, you engaged in numerous inappropriate and dangerous practices that were far outside the bounds of any legitimate medical purpose or standard of care,' the letter states per The Hollywood Reporter. 'These actions were not isolated incidents but rather part of a pattern of improper conduct by you from 2024 through 2025 while Ye was your patient.' The letter claims that Connelly sent large nitrous oxide tanks to Kanye West's home, including the one he shared with Censori. These deliveries reportedly came with masks and instructions for self-use. Connelly allegedly ignored signs of harm, including memory lapses, confusion, mood changes, and impaired motor function. These symptoms suggested a decline in West's neurological and behavioral health. 'Ms. Censori, as Ye's spouse, was a witness to and impacted by many of these events,' the letter reads. Some of the alleged incidents were said to have happened inside West and Censori's shared residence. Connelly is also accused of overcharging West for dental services, with bills allegedly reaching $50,000 a month and adding up to hundreds of thousands. The letter claims that Connelly admitted fault in multiple text messages and emails. 'On multiple occasions, you acknowledged in writing that your treatment of Ye was improper,' the lawyers wrote. The dentist reportedly administered propofol to West in non-medical environments, including a hotel in Las Vegas. In one case, he is accused of releasing West without ensuring he was mentally stable. 'Ye suffered extreme mental and physical distress leading to urgent medical care,' the legal notice stated. Amid these allegations, West's public behavior raised eyebrows. At Super Bowl LIX, he ran a Yeezy ad showing himself in a dental chair filming on an iPhone. 'I spent, like, all the money for the commercial on these new teeth,' he said. 'Once again, I had to shoot it on the iPhone. Um… Um… Go to However, the only item available on afterward was a black T-shirt with a red swastika labeled 'HH-01,' widely interpreted as 'Heil Hitler.' This shocked fans and critics alike, leading to renewed concern over his well-being. The ad drew immediate backlash on social media, with many users accusing West of fueling antisemitic sentiment. Others questioned whether the bizarre rollout, combined with his erratic speech, was evidence of a deeper issue. Despite these concerns, the rapper's antics worsened as he went on multiple rants on social media, leaving his fans shocked beyond words. Milo Yiannopoulos, who served briefly as West's publicist, filed an affidavit with the California Dental Board in August 2024. He accused Connelly of exploiting West's impaired state for financial gain and claimed the dentist swapped natural diamonds for cheaper lab-grown ones in West's custom teeth. Yiannopoulos posted a screenshot of a text exchange where Connelly allegedly agreed to deliver nitrous oxide tanks to West's hotel. He wrote on social media that the dentist tried to "diminish Ye's mental faculties" so that he and "his business associates could extract millions of dollars from him." However, a spokesperson for Dr. Connelly denied all allegations. 'Yiannopoulos's memory of events was not only factually incorrect but also intentionally misleading,' they stated, adding that the nitrous tanks were empty upon delivery and that there was no intent to harm Kanye West.
