Mission Impossible Screening At Penang Cinema Gets Surprise '4D Upgrade'

Subscribe to our FREE Minor issues like noisy audiences or someone blocking your view are quite common when watching movies at the cinema. What's not normal is sitting comfortably, enjoying your movie – and suddenly, water starts dripping from above. That's what a group of people experienced at the Golden Screen Cinemas in Sunway Carnival Mall, Pulau Pinang. As seen through a video shared by user @afif_izham, he was watching the new Mission: Impossible – The Final Reckoning movie with his friends when the unexpected happened – water began leaking from the ceiling, turning a movie session into a real-life survival scene. Coincidentally, at the time of the leak, the scene on screen showed the characters on a ship, making it feel like the water was part of the movie itself. It was like they paid for a normal ticket but got a 4D experience for free, complete with unexpected water effects! Only this time, instead of water effects coming from special nozzles around the seats like in a typical 4D movie, the water was leaking directly from above. However, the group didn't seem to be affected, as they looked completely dry and were even able to laugh about what happened. Afif mentioned that the cinema later allowed them to move to a different hall to continue the movie. While the situation may seem funny, a netizen mentioned in the comments section that the leaking could lead to a power trip or other hazards if not properly addressed. Fortunately, the situation didn't escalate into a Final Destination-style disaster. Share your thoughts with us via TRP's . Get more stories like this to your inbox by signing up for our newsletter.

(Video) 'Thunderbolts*' Star Florence Pugh Shares Merdeka 118 Experience & Trying M'sian Dishes

Yesterday (Thursday, 1st May), Marvel Studios's latest film, 'Thunderbolts*', premiered in Malaysian cinemas, and fans have been flooding social media with their reviews ever since. We had the chance to attend a special preview of the film, so if you're curious about our thoughts, you can read all about it here. In celebration of the film's release and Merdeka 118's Hollywood debut, the iconic skyscraper lit up the night with a special light show from 29th April to 1st May, giving fans a dazzling preview to build anticipation for the film. That said, you're probably curious about Florence Pugh's experience in Malaysia, right? Here's what the actress had to say about her daring stunt and her thoughts on some of our beloved local dishes: Earlier this week, Golden Screen Cinemas (GSC) released a video on TikTok featuring their interview with 'Thunderbolts*' star Florence Pugh, who plays Yelena Belova. The British actor spoke about her experience filming a scene in Kuala Lumpur that involved jumping off Merdeka 118. The Academy Award nominee described it as a 'mad, mad experience', noting that there were little to no rehearsals before shooting the daring stunt. 'I had such an amazing time in Malaysia. We rehearsed the scene for one day and shot it the next. I'd been so gung-ho throughout the whole shooting experience, but when the day finally arrived, I needed to process the fact that I was actually going to jump off that building,' she said. The actress added that she developed a special relationship with Merdeka 118, having internal conversations with it to prepare herself for the skydiving stunt. The Marvel star shared that she would love to return to Malaysia and spend more time in the country, citing the food as one of the main reasons for her interest in coming back. 'The food was insane. I need to learn some of the best dishes, but I will 100% try to feature a Malaysian dish on 'Cooking with Flo',' she concluded in the interview. For those who may be unaware, 'Cooking with Flo' is the name of Florence Pugh's YouTube channel, which she launched during the Covid-19 lockdown to share her passion for cooking with fans. We don't know about you, but we're certainly looking forward to the day Florence Pugh tries her hand at making a famous Malaysian dish. Perhaps she'll attempt the iconic nasi lemak? We can only hope!
