Wehiwa Aloy named finalist for Golden Spikes Award Maui native and Arkansas shortstop Wehiwa Aloy was named a finalist for the 2025 Golden Spikes Award, presented by Chinook Seedery, USA Baseball announced Wednesday. Aloy, a Baldwin High School graduate, is one of three finalists for the prestigious honor, joining Tennessee's Liam Doyle and Florida State's Alex Lodise. Through 59 games, Aloy is slashing a team-leading .355/.440/.686. His 20 home runs rank fourth in program history, and his 64 RBIs lead the Razorbacks. The Wailuku product also paces Arkansas in nearly every major offensive category, including batting average, slugging percentage, OPS (1.126), runs (77), hits (86), doubles (18), extra-base hits (39), and total bases (166). Three Tennessee Vols named to Golden Spikes Midseason Watchlist

KNOXVILLE, Tenn. (WATE) — Three Vols were named to the Golden Spikes Midseason Watchlist on Thursday. Gavin Kilen, Liam Doyle and Marcus are under the consideration for the most prestigious award in college baseball. Kilen currently leads Tennessee in batting average (.425), on-base percentage (.546), slugging percentage (.973) and OPS (1.519). Pickens named NFCA and SEC Pitcher of the Week Doyle continues to dominate on the mound. He has a 4-1 record with 73 strikeouts and a 2.95 ERA. Tennessee's Saturday starter Marcus Phillips is 2-0 with 42 strikeouts and a 2.02 ERA.
