The 78-year-old posted video of himself golfing on Sunday to Truth Social, though it was unclear where or when the video was taken. Trump advances to championship round of Senior Club golf tournament, days after imposing wave of tariffs

President Donald Trump has advanced to Sunday's final round of a Florida golf tournament, the Senior Club Championship, after winning in the second round Saturday, the White House announced. "The president won his second-round matchup of the senior club championship today in Jupiter, Fla., and advances to the championship round on Sunday," the statement said. Trump will look to win his second golf championship in a month. In early March, he won the Golf Club Championship at his club in Palm Beach County, Florida. Trump suggested that tournament would be his last in a Truth Social post, but it turns out it wasn't. "I just won the Golf Club Championship, probably my last, at Trump International Golf Club, in Palm Beach County, Florida. Such a great honor! The Awards dinner is tonight, at the Club," the March 5 post said. Trump played in the Senior Club Championship this weekend after a week in which he imposed a series of tariffs on other countries as part of his "Liberation Day" agenda. Trump imposed a 10% baseline tariff on all imported goods into the United States while some countries were slapped with higher rates. Trump, in a post on Truth Social Saturday morning, wrote that his plan is already working with trillions of dollars pouring into the U.S. economy and encouraged Americans to "hang tough" after stock market declines. "We are bringing back jobs and businesses like never before. Already, more than FIVE TRILLION DOLLARS OF INVESTMENT, and rising fast! THIS IS AN ECONOMIC REVOLUTION, AND WE WILL WIN," Trump wrote. "HANG TOUGH, it won't be easy, but the end result will be historic. We will, MAKE AMERICA GREAT AGAIN!!!" Jimmy Kimmel Remixes North Korean State Media to Mock Trump's Golf Tournament Claims

For some pretty obvious reasons, Jimmy Kimmel does not buy Donald Trump's ridiculous claim to be some kind of golfing legend — somehow only while playing at his own golf clubs, of course — and he used his monologue on Monday's 'Jimmy Kimmel Live' to mock him at length. And at one point, the ABC host remixed a real North Korean state TV broadcast so that it made absurd claims about Donald Trump instead of Kim John Un. First, Kimmel noted how Trump bragged about winning a golf tournament at his club while devastating storms ravaged America, killing 42. 'While the devastation was happening our commander in chief meteorologist was back at Mar-a-Lago again, playing golf. As the storms raged, he offered these words of comfort to those who lost their families and their homes,' Kimmel said, at which point he quote Trump verbatim. 'He wrote, 'I just won the Golf Club Championship, probably my last, at Trump International Golf Club, in Palm Beach County, Florida. Such a great honor! The Awards dinner is tonight at the Club. I want to thank the wonderful Golf Staff, and all of the many fantastic golfers, that participated in the event. Such fun!' 'Such fun indeed. This, of course, comes after Trump chided Joe Biden last year for being on vacation during Hurricane Helene. If you scored hypocrisy like golf, he'd be 30 strokes under par right now,' Kimmel continued. 'Can you imagine if Biden bragged about winning a golf tournament during a disaster? Sean Hannity would have a rage boner for weeks.' 'But I don't want to, you know what? I don't want to lose focus on the fact that Trump won his own Tournament again,' Kimmel added with heavy sarcasm. 'Wow. This is the third year in a row he's won his own tournament. Who are the other players in this tournament? I mean, seriously, are there other golfers, or is it just Eric with his Fisher Price clubs?' 'I laughed when North Korean state media reported that Kim Jong Il had 11 holes in one, the first time he ever played golf. We're getting pretty close to that,' Kimmel went on. Then he cued up the clip of NK state media. As the North Korean anchor spoke, an English language 'translation' said, The president, Donald J Trump, has announced to us his American children, that yet again, he has emerged victorious in the Tournament of golf, which bears his sacred nameI' 'Thousands have taken to the streets io celebrate our strong and omnipotent leader's historic triumph,' the 'translation' continued, as footage of St. Patrick's Day revelry showed onscreen. 'Boundless esteem to our glorious president and his mighty penis, in which comparison, all others fail.' Winning Bigly! Trump claims (again) he took home top prize at golf tournament at his own club

Donald Trump once again claimed to have won a golf tournament at his own Florida club, though he made the surprising claim that it would 'probably be his last.' 'I just won the Golf Club Championship, probably my last, at Trump International Golf Club, in Palm Beach County, Florida. Such a great honor!' the president wrote on Truth Social on Sunday afternoon. 'The Awards dinner is tonight, at the Club. I want to thank the wonderful Golf Staff, and all of the many fantastic golfers, that participated in the event. Such fun! This is not the first time Trump has declared victory on his Palm Beach county course. In 2023, he also posted that he had won a championship, despite not playing in the first round of the tournament – due to attending a funeral. According to the Daily Mail, in that instance, Trump told tournament organizers he played a strong round two days earlier and decided that would count as his first-day score. The president appeared to have had a busy weekend of golfing, after the White House showed him clad in sports attire – white polo shirt and red MAGA cap – while dealing with foreign issues. 'President Trump is taking action against the Houthis to defend U.S. shipping assets and deter terrorist threats,' the White House wrote. 'For too long American economic & national threats have been under assault by the Houthis. Not under this presidency.' Social media users were quick to criticize the president for continuing with his favorite pastime, amid severe hurricanes that have battered multiple states and left more than 30 people dead. '34 people are dead. More missing. Devastation across multiple states. Trump bragging about his golf game. Disgusting @POTUS,' wrote one user, in response to Trump's post declaring victory. 'He defines narcissism and he's cheated again,' added another. It was previously reported that Trump may have spent millions of taxpayer money to fund his golfing hobby since returning to office, despite his and Elon Musk's ongoing war on wasteful spending by government agencies. Based on a 2019 report by the Government Accountability Office, HuffPost has calculated that – as of mid-February – the cost of these excursions has been around $10.7 million. Since being sworn in for the second time on January 20, the president has spent the majority of his weekends on the green, and played golf at his own properties on nine of his first 30 days in office, according to HuffPost.
