Search for missing yacht skipper called off
The search for a missing skipper of a yacht which was found on the Cornish coast has ended with no-one being found. HM Coastguard said it was called to Chapel Point, between Portmellon and Gorran Haven, at about 20:15 BST on Friday after the boat had been discovered run aground. It said Mevagissey Coastguard Rescue Team, a Coastguard search and rescue helicopter, a Coastguard fixed-wing aircraft, RNLI lifeboats and Devon and Cornwall Police conducted a large search of the area. A Coastguard spokesperson confirmed on Sunday that the search had been called off and no-one had been found.
