Roma eyeing Robin Gosens at Gasperini's request
Roma are already planning their summer moves with the prospect of Gian Piero Gasperini leading the team next season. Giallorossi sporting director Florent Ghisolfi is working to improve the squad for next season, and the flanks are one of the areas identified for possible interventions during the summer transfer market. Advertisement As Leggo reports, among the names that have ended up on the notebook of the Giallorossi management is Robin Gosens, currently at Fiorentina. The German winger would be a welcome profile at Trigoria, both for his athletic qualities and for his Serie A experience. Interest in Gosens could intensify if Gian Piero Gasperini were to officially become the new coach of Roma. The Italian coach, still in negotiations with the club, has already coached Gosens with excellent results in Bergamo, where the German winger has had some of his most brilliant seasons, especially in terms of goalscoring.

Fiorentina Star Calls Inter Milan ‘Top Team' – Adds ‘I Have No Regrets About Leaving'
Robin Gosens says that Inter Milan are 'a top team' but that he has 'no regrets' about leaving the Nerazzurri. The German spoke to Milan-based newspaper Gazzetta dello Sport in an interview published in today's print edition, via FCInterNews. Robin Gosens spent a season and a half as an Inter player. The German international arrived from Atalanta in January of 2022. And there were big expectations for Gosens at Inter. He had undoubtedly been one of the outstanding wide players in Serie A during his time at Atalanta. However, Gosens never quite managed to reproduce his best form in a Nerazzurri shirt. Part of the reason for this was certainly fitness-related. Gosens was recovering from a long-term muscle problem when he joined Inter. And for a player reliant on pace and explosiveness, any loss of athleticism was always going to make Gosens less effective. Then, there was the rise of Federico Dimarco. When Gosens signed for Inter, the expectation was that he'd be the long-term heir to Ivan Perisic on the left flank. But after Perisic left, it was Dimarco rather than Gosens who truly stepped up into that role. Robin Gosens left Inter in the summer of 2023. He joined Union Berlin in the Bundesliga. Things did not work out for Gosens in the German capital. Therefore, he returned to Serie A last summer, signing for Fiorentina. And the 30-year-old is finally back to something like his best at the Stadio Artemio Franchi. Gosens said that when he joined Inter it was 'a top team with top players, as with today.' 'The winning mentality made a big imprint on me. The unique desire for victory.' 'Even after a bad match the important thing was to go back to the dressing room with the result,' said the German. 'Having been in an environment for eighteen months is something I'm truly grateful for,' admitted Gosens. As far as regrets, the Fiorentina wingback said that 'I don't have any.' 'In the end, it was Dimarco who exploded in form after I arrived. That's something I just have to accept.'
