Sarada MK wins gold in MD ayurveda at Rajiv Gandhi University of Health Sciences (RGUHS), Bengaluru

Bengaluru: Dr Sarada MK , a postgraduate student at Govt Ayurveda Medical College, Mysuru, bagged a gold medal in MD ( Ayurveda Samhita and Siddhantha ) in the annual examination conducted by Rajiv Gandhi University of Health Sciences (RGUHS), Bengaluru, in March. She will be among the toppers whom RGUHS will honour at its annual convocation to be held at Nimhans auditorium next month. "I was always interested in the Indian knowledge system from school. Additionally, my grandfather was an ayurvedic doctor. Ayurveda is facing a lot of challenges, including the need for evidence-based medicine. I wanted to contribute towards that too," she said. Originally from Palakkad, Kerala, she is currently a senior research fellow at Central Ayurveda Research Institute in Bengaluru.
