Create Account Gowryshankar Kathirkamanathan was arrested on May 2 on charges of sexual assault and forcible confinement. Durham Regional Police alleged that he picked up the teen in Hamilton and drove her to Ajax where 'she was confined and sexually assaulted over a period of days.' He was charged with five counts of sexual assault, five counts of sexual interference, as well as one count each of forcible confinement, uttering threats and assault, and two counts of overcome resistance to the commission of an offence/administer drug. In a news release on Friday, Durham cops said that 'further investigation revealed that the suspect was having a sexual relationship with another 14-year-old female.' On Thursday, Tactical Support Unit and Offender Management Unit officers executed an arrest warrant at an Ajax residence and took the suspect into custody without incident. Kathirkamanathan's charges now include sexual assault, sexual interference, assault, invitation to sexual touching, make child pornography, and possess child pornography. He was held for a bail hearing. Anyone with information, including any other possible alleged victims, is asked to the Special Victims Unit at 1-888-579-1520 ext. 5316. MAN DOWNLOADED CHILD PORN: COPS A Toronto man is charged with possessing child pornography. On Wednesday, 'as part of an investigation into the possession of child sexual abuse material,' Toronto Police say members of the Child Exploitation Section executed a Criminal Code search warrant in the Park Lawn Rd. and Lake Shore Blvd. W. area. Cops allege that the accused 'downloaded a quantity of child sexual abuse material from the internet.' Steven Wheelhouse, 38, was arrested and charged with possess child pornography and access child pornography. Officers seized a quantity of electronic devices and say the investigation continues. Ajax man who allegedly sexually assaulted and confined 14-year-old girl facing new charges
30-year-old Gowryshankar Kathirkamanathan who police say allegedly sexually assaulted a 14-year-old in Ajax (DPS photos). A 30-year-old Ajax man who was arrested earlier this month in connection with the alleged sexual assault and forcible confinement of a 14-year-old is facing additional charges related to a second underage girl, police say. The accused was initially taken into custody back on May 2. At the time, police said that a suspect picked up a 14-year-old girl in Hamilton and drove her to Ajax 'where she was confined and sexually assaulted over a period of days.' Gowryshankar Kathirkamanathan was charged with 15 offences, including five counts of sexual assault. In a news release issued on Friday, police said that subsequent investigation has revealed that the accused was also having a sexual relationship with another 14-year-old girl. Kathirkamanathan was arrested at a residence in Ajax on Thursday and is now facing six new charges, including sexual assault and making child pornography. The charges against him have not been tested in court. Police continue to investigate and are urging anyone with information to contact investigators.

It's alleged that a man picked up the teen in Hamilton and drove her to Ajax where 'she was confined and sexually assaulted over a period of days.' A suspect was subsequently identified and arrested 'without incident' on Friday.
