Local lottery ticket wins $40K a year for 25 years
ATWATER, Ohio (WJW) – A lucky Ohio Lottery player scratched off the top prize on a ticket purchased in Portage County to win $40,000 a year for the next 25 years.
According to the Ohio Lottery, the winner, from Atwater, bought the lucky ticket at Grace Energy LLC, located at 1497 State Route 44 in Randolph.

The winning ticket was a VIP Millions scratch-off. The game costs $50 to play. The overall odds of winning a prize, as low as $100, are 1 in about 4.

In a press release, the lottery said the winner chose the cash option of $500,000. After mandatory state and federal taxes, they will take home $360,000.
