Kanpur cricket clubs notch impressive wins

Kanpur: Yuvraja Pandey's fine century (131) powered Graduate Club to a 7-wicket victory over Diamond Club in the
KDMA league match
at Everest ground on Monday. Diamond Club, batting first, set a score of 294 runs in 40 overs, with Shivansh Yadav and Subrat Prasad hitting 96 and 71 runs respectively.
In response, Graduate Club achieved the required 296 runs for the loss of just three wickets, securing the win.
Shubham Yadav and Devashish Srivastava contributed 79 and 52 not out respectively for Graduate Club.
South Gymkhana Rolland Club and Star Club also recorded victories in other ties. At HAL ground, South Gymkhana outplayed Cant Lions by 9 wickets. Cant Lions managed just 67 runs. South Gymkhana chased comfortably, finishing on 1 for 69, with Divyansh Sahu unbeaten on 45.
At Rashtriya ground, Rolland Club defeated Olympic Club by 6 wickets.
At PAC ground, Star club bested Tilak Society by 55 runs. Star Club posted 235, featuring contributions from Piyush Singh (46) and Aryaman Rajput (45). Prashant Singh Bhadoria took 4 for 33 for Tilak Society. Chasing, Tilak Society closed on 9 for 180, with Anjul Mishra unbeaten on 112.
In the JNT U-12 cricket tournament for the Sigma Grip Trophy at Kanpur South A ground on Monday, Sigma XI defeated Rachit finance XI by 6 wickets in the inaugural match.

A special basketball coaching camp will be organised by CHS Gurukulum School at Meharbansingh ka Purwa, Kanpur, from May 22 to June 5. Players born on or after Jan 1, 2007 are eligible, with registration required due to limited seats. The camp runs from 4.30 to 6.30 p.m.
