PFF Offers Unique Look on Buccaneers Top Rookie From 2024

PFF Offers Unique Look on Buccaneers Top Rookie From 2024 originally appeared on Athlon Sports. Few teams in the league have drafted as well as the Tampa Bay Buccaneers have over the last several seasons. The 2024 class might have been the best group yet. Advertisement Several starters include first-round guard Graham Barton, slot cornerback Tykee Smith, and linebacker Chris Braswell. If we are judging the best of the 2024 group, though, only one player stands out above the rest. Oregon running back Bucky Irving recorded a 1,000-yard season in 2024 behind his speed and athleticism. He was a big part in getting Tampa Bay's offense into an elite category last season. And according to Pro Football Focus' Ryan Smith, he is easily the top choice when dissecting the team's 2024 class. "Irving didn't have as much volume as other top running backs early in the 2024 season but was a workhorse down the stretch, leading the NFL in yards after contact per attempt (3.93) and forcing 62 missed tackles in the process," Smith wrote. "He earned elite PFF grades as a runner (90.0) and a receiver (90.5) for the NFC South champion Buccaneers." Advertisement Irving has become one of the best offensive weapons in the NFL in just a single season. So ... what's next? If he can continue to show that in 2025, the Buccaneers could be on a Super Bowl path. And if that happens? The Oregon product Irving, who took such a major leap forward last year, will become even more of a darling to the stat guys and to Buccaneers fans everywhere. What time will the Rams pick in the 1st round of the 2025 NFL Draft?

What time will the Rams pick in the 1st round of the 2025 NFL Draft? The first round of the 2025 NFL Draft begins Thursday night at 8 p.m. ET with the Tennessee Titans going on the clock at No. 1 overall. The Los Angeles Rams will have to wait a while before it's their turn to pick, sitting at No. 26 in the first round. It's seven picks later than the spot where they picked Jared Verse last year and just seven picks from the end of Round 1, for reference. With such a long wait until the Rams go on the clock, it can be hard to know what time they'll make their first selection. Good news: We're here to help. What time will the Rams pick tonight? Last year, the Buccaneers selected Graham Barton with the 26th pick at 11:19 p.m. ET. The year prior, the Cowboys picked Mazi Smith 26th overall at 11:20 p.m. ET. Accounting for the 10-minute clock for each first-round pick, we can estimate that the Rams will go on the clock at around 11:10 p.m. ET. This is obviously contingent on how quickly or slowly the 25 teams ahead of them make their picks, but it gives you an idea of what time to tune into the draft if you just want to see the Rams make their selection. Every pick in the NFL draft carries its own history, and the 26th overall selection is no different. Bucs could lose a pivotal offensive lineman in free agency

The Tampa Bay Buccaneers have quietly built one of the more deep and stable offensive line groups in the NFL. Whether it be through the draft or free agency, they have had a lot of hits on players they have targeted. One of those players who has played well when given a chance may soon be leaving for a chance on his own to play meaningful snaps. Bucs center and versatile offensive lineman Robert Hainsey is set to be a free agent this year. After being the team's starting center in 2023 before being replaced by first-round pick Graham Barton. Barton has looked the part while Hainsey was left filling in for Barton when he missed time with a concussion. With a starting role seemingly gone, Hainsey enters free agency with some renewed hope for a longterm home. Speaking on his free agencym, Bucs' offensive tackle Tristan Wirfs was on The Pivot Podcast and discussed his teammate's ability and what may be next for him. 'He started the past two years, ended up not being the starter [this year]. We drafted Graham Barton. He came in. But Hainsey, he took it – it was tough for him at first. But him being a veteran now. Teaching Graham the ropes. Teaching him the way. And now Hainsey is going to be a free agent. He's going to go play somewhere.' The center position is not very deep in the NFL draft this year, with so many players being projected to move to the position rather than being a natural with them. Hainsey should be set for a big payday as well as a starting role in 2025.
