Altus man ejected from vehicle, killed in single-vehicle crash

ALTUS, OK (KFDX/KJTL) — An Altus man died after a single-vehicle crash Wednesday morning. According to the Oklahoma Highway Patrol, the crash happened just before 8 a.m. on Wednesday, April 23, on S. County Road 206, about a mile southeast of Altus. Charles L. Reitenour, 46, was ejected from the 2005 Grand Marquis he was driving, which left the roadway, struck a culvert, and rolled an unknown number of times. Motorcyclist killed in 3-vehicle crash in Lake County, FHP says

Lake County, Fla. - One person is dead after a three-vehicle collision along US 27 near Sawgrass Bay Blvd in Lake Co. According to the Florida Highway Patrol, all three vehicles were traveling northbound in the center lane of US 27 approaching Sawgrass Bay Blvd at around 11:30 p.m. Saturday evening. According to the FHP report, the driver of a Grand Marquis failed to notice the motorcycle ahead of him, causing the front end of the Marquis to hit the motorcycle. Due to the collision, a third vehicle was unable to avoid the crash and struck the back end of the Marquis. The driver of the motorcycle, a 39-year-old male from Davenport, FL, was taken to Advent Health-Four Corners Emergency Room where he was pronounced deceased. The drivers and passengers of the other two vehicles were not transported and remained on scene. The Florida Highway Patrol says the crash remains under investigation. Motorcyclist dead after multi-vehicle accident in Lake County

A 39-year-old woman from Davenport is dead after a multi-vehicle accident resulting in the motorcyclist being hit by a sedan late Saturday night, Florida Highway Patrol said. A 78-year-old man from Clermont, driving a 2003 Mercury Grand Marquis, was traveling northbound on U.S. 27 approaching Sawgrass Bay in the center lane, FHP said. The Davenport woman, driving a 2024 Yamaha motorcycle, was traveling in the same direction on the same road in the center lane, ahead of the sedan. A 48-year-old man from Clermont, driving a 2023 Tesla Model Y, was traveling in the same direction on the same road in the center lane. FHP said the 78-year-old man failed to observe the motorcycle ahead. As a result, the front of the sedan struck the motorcycle. The Tesla was unable to avoid to collision ahead, and as a result, the front of the Tesla struck the rear of the Grand Marquis. The motorcyclist was transported to Advent Health – Four Corners Emergency Room and pronounced dead, FHP said. Both Clermont men and all passengers in their vehicles were not injured and remained on scene. This crash remains under investigation.

Ankeny police seek help to find missing teen

ANKENY, Iowa — Police in Ankeny are asking for the public's help to locate a teenager who was last seen over the weekend. The Ankeny Police Department said 17-year-old Nur (Maggie) Oghan was last seen leaving her residence on Saturday, March 15th around 5:18 p.m. Police believe she left with someone in an older model Grand Marquis style vehicle. Nur is a white female about 5'2″ and 130 pounds. She was wearing a black sweatshirt and grey pants with black and white Nike shoes when she was last seen. If you have any information about her location, please contact Polk County Dispatch by calling 911.
