Exclusive- Sumeet Raghavan on sharing a special bond with his onscreen dad Anjan Srivastava on Father's Day: He is a friend and father-figure to me

is a day dedicated to honouring one's father, fatherhood, paternal connections, and dads' influence in society. "Father's Day" complements other family-related holidays, such as Mother's Day and, in some countries, Siblings Day and Grandparents' Day. Tired of too many ads? go ad free now The day is celebrated on various dates around the world, and different regions have their unique rituals for honouring fatherhood. While exclusively sharing about his bond with his onscreen father, Anjan Srivastava, shared, "Well, the pictures that I have sent of me and my dad, I share the same bond with Anjanji also. So, he is like a friend, he is like a father figure. Toh hum log bahut masti karte hain. He is at, his behaviour is at its best when we both meet. He sends me songs, woh apne ghar mein bethe rehenge, voice notes bhejte rehte, koi gaana gaakar bhejte. Then I send a song from here, and toh waise humara give and take chalte rehta. And it's great fun. Abhi bhi, whenever we meet, kahin bhi, we start dancing. That's the way we meet. Studio ki parking mein ho, ya set par ho, kahin bhi ho. Jahan bhi hum mil jate hain, turant we start dancing to a song. So, great fun, great fun." Earlier, Sumeet got candid about the upcoming track in Wagle Ki Duniya, he said, "This track means a lot to many people, especially in a city like Mumbai where redevelopment affects so many homes. It's not just about buildings being torn down and rebuilt — it's about people's lives, memories, and emotions. I really liked how the episode didn't just show the process, but also the emotional stress it brings to families. It was heartwarming to see the mix of humour, the strong sense of community, and the real struggles of city life. The episode struck a nice balance between being entertaining and showing the serious side of what redevelopment really feels like."

This one's an age-old saying: 'Dad: A son's first hero, a daughter's first love!' Like Mother's Day, Sibling's Day, Grandparents' Day – Father's Day, too, is a special occasion. It's a day set aside for honoring one's father, as well as fatherhood, paternal bonds, and the influence of fathers in society. When is Father's Day celebrated? Father's Day falls on the third Sunday in June to honor the role fathers play in the family structure and society. This day recognizes not just fathers, but the father figures in our lives. This year, the date is June 15. Father's Day is an annual observance honoring people's fathers and celebrating fatherhood, paternal bonds, and the influence of fathers in society. It was first proposed by Sonora Smart Dodd of Spokane, Washington, in 1909. It was originally celebrated at the YMCA on June 19, 1910, by Sonora Smart Dodd, who was born in Arkansas. Her father, the Civil War veteran William Jackson Smart, was a single parent who raised his six children there. The Father's Day celebration: Father's Day celebrations typically involve showing appreciation for fathers and father figures through gifts, thoughtful gestures, and spending quality time together. Popular activities include planning family meals, outdoor adventures, or enjoying hobbies together. Additionally, many families choose to personalize their celebrations with handmade gifts, cards, or by doing chores that would normally be done by dad. by Taboola by Taboola Sponsored Links Sponsored Links Promoted Links Promoted Links You May Like 5 Books Warren Buffett Wants You to Read In 2025 Blinkist: Warren Buffett's Reading List Undo Here are some messages, greetings, wishes, and quotes to celebrate your father and remind him how special he is, and how fortunate you are to call him 'dad'! Stop bickering with your brother or sister and show them some love instead, because it's National Siblings Day. The pseudo-holiday is celebrated in the United States each year on April 10. The quasi-holiday, also known as World Siblings Day, is celebrated in countries around the world, including India, Portugal, Spain, Australia and more. However, National Siblings Day was founded in the U.S. in 1995 by Claudia Evart, who created the day after losing her brother and sister at a very early age, per National Today. Evart chose April 10 because it was her sister Lisette's birthday. She also created the 'Siblings Day Foundation,' which is working to make the holiday federally recognized in the U.S. Since 1998, 49 states have issued proclamations to observe National Siblings Day on April 10. Former presidents Bill Clinton, George W. Bush and Barack Obama have also recognized the holiday. You can celebrate National Siblings Day by hugging your sibling, taking them out for ice cream, or watching your favorite movie together.
