Doncaster sign Barrow midfielder Gotts
Doncaster Rovers have signed Barrow midfielder Robbie Gotts on a two-year deal with the option of a further 12 months. The 25-year-old becomes Rovers' first signing since the club secured promotion to the third tier as League Two champions. But manager Grant McCann said the club have tracked the former Leeds academy product for a number of seasons. "Robbie is a player we've kept an eye on for a few years," McCann told the club website. "He's been excellent at Barrow with what he has brought to that team and I've been a big admirer of him – his energy, him as a person, his bite, his aggression to get after the ball and use it, and his ability to create and score goals. "He's going to be a massive help for us next season." Harrogate-born Gotts came through the academy ranks at Leeds before joining Barrow in 2021 and going on to make 170 appearances for the Cumbrian outfit.
