Sunday brunch dotted with caviar

SUNDAY brunch blends the best of breakfast and lunch into a weekend indulgence. Unlike rushed weekday meals, it allows one to enjoy both food and company without worrying about time. Sunday brunch at The Brasserie of The St Regis Kuala Lumpur is a lavish affair like no other, offering a gueridon service where dishes are prepared and presented by chefs at the table. This is not only charming but adds a personal touch to each course. Start off the experience with a wide array of fresh seafood and artisanal cheese at the buffet. The dishes with luxurious ingredients, served tableside, however, are the highlight. These include Signature Roasted Duck Crown with Honey Orange Glaze, Roasted Salmon with Smoked Caviar Beurre Blanc Sauce, and Beef Wellington with Foie Gras and Mushroom Duxelle. Seasonal Truffle and Canapes. The succulent duck served with a rich glaze presents a lovely balance of honey with zesty notes of orange, and proved to be my favourite dish. The crispy skin provides contrast against the moist, flavourful meat, making each bite a harmony of textures. Meanwhile, the delicate, orange-hued salmon paired with a buttery sauce infused with the smoky essence of caviar is another noteworthy treat. Then there's the Beef Wellington with Foie Gras and Mushroom Duxelle, with tender fillet tightly wrapped in crisp golden pastry. One has to take time to appreciate the amount of work that goes into making this marvellous showstopper. The brunch comes with a variety of alcohol – Champagne, sparkling wine, red wine, white wine, beer and cocktails. Non-alcoholic options included sparkling drinks, smoothies and chilled juices. For those seeking an upgrade, there is the addition of 'Exquisite and Elevate' offerings, comprising a four-course caviar or truffle set. This option transforms the spectacular brunch into an unforgettable culinary journey. Premium caviar (above) and beef Wellington. The caviar set begins with the White Sturgeon Deluxe, Siberian Class and Beluga Siberian served with Moet & Chandon Brut resulting in a luxurious pairing of high-quality caviar and refreshing bubbly. Next is the Lobster Royale with Oscietra Caviar and Lobster Emulsion that combined sweet lobster with briny caviar for elegance in every spoonful. What then follows is the Seafood Cannelloni with Caviar Bearnaise Sauce, presenting delicate seafood-filled pasta that is creamy and indulgent. The buttery, herb-infused sauce and luxurious caviar prove to be an ideal match. Lastly, the chef serves light Poached Apples with Apple Caviar, Lime Micro Sponge and Apple Sorbet. The sweet poached apples and tangy sorbet paired with playful textures of caviar and lime micro sponge make for a perfect finish. The adventure with truffles begins with Seasonal Truffle and Canapes, offering bites of fresh truffle in finger food varieties. Following that is the Mushroom Royale with Seasonal Black Truffle and Truffle Emulsion, a mushroom custard enriched with earthy black truffles and finished with a luxe creaminess. Among the luxe offerings at The Brasserie. The third course is Truffle and Onion with Truffle Cream Sauce and Shavings. In this dish, the chef pairs sweet caramelised onions with rich truffle sauce and fine truffle shavings to complement each other. Finally, the Dark Chocolate and Black Truffle Mousse, Hazelnut Praline, Chocolate Soil, and Cocoa Nib Ice-Cream make for decadent dessert choices. From the first bite to the last, each moment is designed to delight the senses. There is also live entertainment to complete your chilled-out Sunday. The Sunday brunch is served from 12.30pm to 3.30pm. It is priced at RM328nett per adult, and RM144nett per child. Those aged below six eat for free with every full-paying adult. The brunch option with alcoholic beverages is priced at RM428nett per person. The caviar or truffle set served with Champagne is priced at RM988nett per adult. Tuesday marks the start of our sunshine streak

NEW ORLEANS (WGNO) — Chilly temps Tuesday morning in the 40s! Jackets will most likely be needed when heading out of the door. Sunshine all day long. Perhaps this is Mother Nature's way of apologizing for literally raining on our parades this year, but we should all be grateful for a of PERFECT WEATHER – for one of the biggest festival weekends of the year. Highs in the low 70s this afternoon, with sun from start to finish. Slightly warmer with mid-70s for the highs on Wednesday. We will likely be back at 80 degrees in the afternoon on Thursday and Friday before another weak front passes through. This front passes without rainfall involved for us. It will bring a nice, refreshing twist to the start of our weekend with less humidity and high temps back into the middle 70s on Gras to football, Warren Easton students snap the shot Legal status revoked for 985,000 migrants who entered US under Biden-era CBP One app China threatens countermeasures after Trump threatens additional 50% tariff RFK Jr. plans to tell CDC to stop recommending fluoride in drinking water SPD arrests parents after teen found abandoned in hotel room Copyright 2025 Nexstar Media, Inc. Oregon Tesla dealership shot at; damaged by gunfire, shattered glass

Oregon Tesla dealership shot at; damaged by gunfire, shattered glass Show Caption Hide Caption Crowds boo Tesla Cybertrucks during Mardi Gras festivities Crowds at a pre-Mardi Gras parade, known as Lundi Gras, booed Tesla Cybertrucks as they rolled through the parade route. Police in Oregon are working with the FBI after gunshots were discovered at a Tesla dealership Thursday morning in the latest instance of vandalism against the carmaker. Investigators think 'at least seven shots were fired' at the building, resulting in hitting three cars total and a computer monitor, according to the Tigard Police Department, located just south of Portland. Photos of the damage show shattered glass at the front of the building, a wall with bullet holes, as well as a damaged Cybertruck and another vehicle with a broken windshield. 'While the motivation for this has not been confirmed, we are aware of other Telsa dealerships that have been targeting across Oregon and the nation for political reasons,' Tigard police said. According to investigators, Tesla employees showed up to work on Thursday and found the gunshot damage. 'Fortunately, this happened overnight when the property was unoccupied,' police said. More: Man accused of shooting, using Molotov cocktails in 2 incidents at Salem Tesla dealership Tesla dealerships targeted amid layoffs, mass emails Authorities added that they're not sure why someone shot at the Tesla dealership, but there have been shootings at other Tesla dealerships 'targeted across Oregon and the nation for political reasons.' Elon Musk, owner of SpaceX and Tesla, was appointed a senior advisor to President Donald Trump shortly after Trump won reelection. According to Joshua Fisher, director of the White House Office of Administration, Musk 'has no actual or formal authority to make government decisions himself' and 'can only advise the President and communicate the President's directives.' Of the 2.3 million federal workers in the U.S., about 100,000 workers have taken buyouts or been fired during Trump's administration, according to Reuters. Musk sent mass emails on Feb. 22 to federal workers asking, 'What did you do last week?' He asked workers to send him five bullet points of what they accomplished the prior week and to send the reply to their managers. A second round of emails went out on Feb. 28, reported Reuters. More attacks on Tesla dealerships Recently, reports of vandalism and fires have been made at Tesla dealerships in multiple states. A man was arrested Tuesday in connection to two separate incidents at a Tesla dealership in Salem, Oregon, reported the Statesman Journal, part of the USA TODAY network. The 41-year-old man is now facing a federal charge of illegally possessing an unregistered destructive device or Molotov cocktail. Investigators working on the first incident on Jan. 20 found two fires at the dealership, including one in the back of a vehicle parked at the business. Witnesses reported seeing someone throw Molotov cocktails at the Tesla dealership and surveillance footage was also captured. Tesla estimated the cost to be about $500,000, the Statesman Journal reported. In another incident on Feb. 19, someone called Salem police about damaged windows at the same dealership. Officers found 'projectiles believed to be spent bullets, bullet fragments, and several projectile impacts,' reported the Statesman Journal, citing court documents. In Colorado, authorities arrested a woman on Feb. 24 for allegedly setting a Tesla dealership on fire. She was caught with more 'incendiary devices' outside the dealership on Monday. Driving like "Mario Kart" on St. Charles Avenue during Mardi Gras

New Orleanians have a new driving challenge: A zig-zag traffic pattern on St. Charles Avenue that feels a lot like Mario dodging banana peels. Why it matters: Though the obstacles may seem silly, they are meant to prevent vehicle attacks like the one on Bourbon Street. The big picture: The barricades were installed Friday on the lakeside of St. Charles from the interstate to Napoleon Avenue. They create a serpentine traffic pattern for about two miles, said NOPD Superintendent Anne Kirkpatrick, slowing down vehicles while the parades roll on the other side of the avenue. The city is leaving them in place during the day when parades are not rolling. Yes, but: Parades also roll on Napoleon Avenue, and authorities have closed both sides to traffic for years on parade days. It's unclear why officials chose not to fully close St. Charles this year while parades are rolling. The mayor's office directed Axios' questions to NOPD, and NOPD did not respond before deadline. Jefferson Parish also keeps Veterans Memorial Boulevard partially open while parades are rolling. State of play: New Orleans has increased federal resources for Mardi Gras this year due to security concerns in the aftermath of the New Year's Day attack. The help, which comes along with the Department of Homeland Security's highest threat level designation, often includes extra personnel, bomb-sniffing dogs, air support and cyber risk assessments, according to DHS. NOPD also has hired a consultant to look at ways to improve safety in the French Quarter. One option is to make Bourbon Street for pedestrians only. What's next: The vehicle barricades will stay on St. Charles Avenue through Tuesday. Claiborne Avenue and Prytania, Magazine and Tchoupitoulas streets are alternative routes. The bottom line: We are entering so-called Deep Gras. It's time to get stocked up, be patient and navigate parade zones by foot or bike.
