Shailini Passi, the Delhi-based art connoisseur and socialite, made her debut at the prestigious Cannes Film Festival 2025. Known for her bold and eclectic fashion choices, she garnered the audience's attention with her appearance in the reality show Fabulous Lives vs Bollywood Wives.
During an interview at the festival, the social media personality expressed her excitement ahead of her meeting with veteran actress Sharmila Tagore and Simi Garewal, who will grace the event for the special screening of the restored version of Satyajit Ray's classic Aranyer Din Ratri.
Speaking to The Hollywood Reporter India, Passi talked about her favourite India at Cannes 2025 moment and said, 'I am really hoping to meet Sharmila Tagore ji and Simi Garewal ji. I love them, and the fact that the Satyajit Ray film is premiering here is such a proud moment. I have always admired his work, and I think that for me, that would be a moment."
As for her look at the global event, Shalini exuded boss-babe vibes in a custom ivory pantsuit crafted by Jade by Monica and Karishma. Her look is a seamless blend of modern elegance and traditional craftsmanship.
Sharing a string of pictures of her day 1 look and captioned the post, 'My first day at the Cannes Film Festival, a global celebration of art, film, and culture. I'm excited for the inspiration and conversations ahead. Wearing custom-made JADE suit (JadebyMK, @monicashah1207), handcrafted with Kantha embroidery in the heart of Kolkata, it carries generations of artistry. Every stitch is a part of the Grassroot Artisans Project (@grassrootartisansproject), and a celebration of culture through craft."
Talking about Sharmila, the veteran actress recently jetted off from Mumbai along with her daughter Saba Pataudi to attend the film festival for the special screening of Satyajit Ray's Aranyer Din Ratri.
The film boasts a stellar cast of Soumitra Chatterjee, Sharmila Tagore, Robi Ghosh, Shubhendu Chatterjee, Samit Bhanja, Simi Garewal and Kaberi Bose.
