Digital signs to electronic files: Gr Noida will go online

Noida: Greater Noida Authority will switch to e-office, which is expected to speed up paperwork by allowing officials to approve files from any part of the state. UP govt earlier directed all departments to go online to improve administrative efficiency and transparency. According to officials, email IDs have already been created for all permanent staff members of the Authority, and the process of issuing digital signatures is currently underway. "The NIC is handling the technical implementation of this project. With e-Office, all files will be digitised and made available online. The officers and employees, regardless of their location, will be able to access and sign these files digitally. Each approval will be time-bound, making it easier to ensure timely action on files," said NG Ravi Kumar, CEO of the Greater Noida Authority. He added that the cost of implementing the system will be covered by the state government. The CEO directed officials to expedite the transition to e-Office, and KM Chaudhary, the system manager of the Authority, has been appointed as the nodal officer to oversee the implementation. Chaudhary said that email IDs of most officers and employees have been generated, and the process of creating digital signatures is underway. He said that approximately 160 employees of the Authority are expected to work on the e-Office platform. "For those whose email IDs and digital signatures have not yet been created, the Authority will organise a camp on Monday at the Authority Auditorium from 3 pm onwards," he said. The officers who need to complete their digital signature process have been instructed to bring their Aadhaar card, PAN card, and Authority-issued ID card to the camp. The e-Office project is a key component of Uttar Pradesh's broader push towards digital governance.

Greater Noida plans 4km elevated road to DME

Noida: Greater Noida Authority has unveiled its plans for a 4km elevated road linking Ek Murti Chowk in Greater Noida West with NH-9 via Shahberi and Crossings Republik, for seamless connectivity between Greater Noida, Greater Noida West, Ghaziabad and Delhi via the Delhi-Meerut Expressway. The 8km stretch, which is dotted by condominiums, turns into a daily gridlock, one extending till the DME, with hundreds of vehicles commuting between the NCR cities. The snarls are only expected to worsen on the key link road once Noida International Airport becomes operational later this year. Earlier this month, Greater Noida Authority widened a three-kilometre stretch between Iteda roundabout and Crossings Republik via Shahberi to ease congestion in the area. An underpass is also under construction on the Taj Expressway near Gaur Chowk in the area. Greater Noida Authority board that approved the Rs 400-crore elevated road project in March has approached NHAI for executing the project and allocated funds for the detailed project report that is expected to take another 4-5 months. The road is proposed to have six lanes and start from Ek Murti roundabout in Greater Noida West's Sector 4 on the 130-metre-wide road, cross Shahberi and Ghaziabad's Crossings Republik, and connect with the Delhi-Meerut Expressway and NH-9. by Taboola by Taboola Sponsored Links Sponsored Links Promoted Links Promoted Links You May Like Switch to UnionBank Rewards Card UnionBank Credit Card Apply Now Undo "Greater Noida West and Crossings Republik in Ghaziabad are hubs of high-rise apartments, but poor connectivity between the two cities causes daily traffic jams on this stretch. Traffic is expected to worsen as more people move into new housing projects. The elevated road is expected to benefit commuters travelling to and from Greater Noida, and also those commuting to Noida airport in Jewar," Greater Noida CEO Ravi Kumar NG. According to an estimate, the population in the area will reach 15 to 20 lakhs in the next 10 years. The board has classified it as a regional connectivity road and proposed a funding collaboration between GNIDA, Noida Authority, and YEIDA. Sources, however, told TOI that Noida and Yamuna Authority could be reluctant to finance a project within GNIDA's jurisdiction. The elevated road is one of the many connectivity projects in the region, like Noida expressway bypass and Chilla Elevated Road, which are on the drawing boards, anticipating heavy traffic movement once the Noida airport becomes functional.

Fake Aadhaar gives away man trying to seal Rs 1 crore land fraud

Noida: An impersonator was caught attempting to fraudulently transfer a 200 sqm residential plot in Greater Noida on Thursday. The accused, Mahipal Singh, created a forged Aadhaar card to transfer the property, plot D-138 in Sector P-3, valued around Rs 1 crore, to one Veer Singh of Delhi's Jaitpur. Tired of too many ads? go ad free now The property is originally allotted to one PP Singh. The veil was lifted off the scam when officials noticed discrepancies in Mahipal's photograph and age records on his Aadhaar card, leading to his arrest. Greater Noida Authority manager (properties) Rajesh Singh said the application for property transfer was submitted on April 16 along with documents, including copies of Aadhaar and PAN cards for identity proof, and papers of two witnesses. As per procedure, the applicant was called to the Authority office for a physical verification on Thursday. "Suspicions arose when we noticed discrepancies in his Aadhaar details. There was a mismatch in the photograph and the date of birth. So, we cross-checked the property papers with the original records and found that Mahipal was an impersonator," the official said. Mahipal was arrested on the spot, but two others accompanying him managed to escape. Mahipal, who is from Sikandrabad in Bulandshahr, told cops the plot was vacant for a long time and he used his network to identify the owner and draw up fake documents to sell it for quick money. While it is not immediately clear how Mahipal got details of property documents, SHO Surajpur Vinod Kumar said a case was registered against the accused and two other persons under BNS sections 318(4) (dishonest or fraudulent removal or concealment of property to prevent distribution among creditors), 338 (forging a document), 336(3) (false document), 340(2) (false document or electronic record made wholly or in part by forgery) and 61(2) (criminal conspiracy). "Mahipal was arrested and sent to judicial custody. We've launched a search to arrest the remaining two accused," he said. Cops are probing if he sold more plots using same means.

Talks fail, Gr Noida set to acquire land from T-Series for road

Noida: Greater Noida Authority has decided to acquire 20 hectares owned by T-Series in Namoli to construct a crucial road linking LG Chowk with Knowledge Park 3. CEO Ravi Kumar NG said multiple negotiations with the music company have failed, prompting the Authority to proceed with the acquisition under provisions of the Land Acquisition Act, 2013, to build a critical infrastructure. "The Rs 31-crore project aims to decongest Pari Chowk, improve connectivity between key institutional hubs, and provide a direct link between Noida sectors 146-147 and Greater Noida via Knowledge Park 2 and 3," Ravi Kumar said. Social impact assessment (SIA) and expert committee review for the project have been completed, and the district administration will next issue a notification under Section 11 of the Act for initiating the process of land acquisition. The Section mandates a govt to publish a notification of land acquisition and a summary of the SIA in an official gazette to inform the public about the need for acquiring a plot. Currently, a single-lane carriageway, constructed in 2010, struggles to accommodate two-way traffic between the busy LG Chowk and Knowledge Park 3, leading to frequent traffic snarls. In April, Greater Noida Authority claimed it had secured in-principle approval to acquire land from the music company to upgrade the stretch into a six-lane road with service roads, a central verge, and a drainage system. by Taboola by Taboola Sponsored Links Sponsored Links Promoted Links Promoted Links You May Like Qual deles é você? É isso que diz sobre a sua personalidade! Conselhos E Truques Undo Later, T-Series contested the claim, stating they did not agree to part with more land beyond what was essential for the road. According to the company, founder Gulshan Kumar purchased 300 acres in Namoli in 1987, even before GNIDA was set up in 1991, for industrial use. Although the land is non-agricultural and freehold, operations ceased when a dedicated freight corridor split the property. At its peak, T-Series ran about 15 manufacturing units here producing cassettes and incense sticks. The company has alleged that GNIDA used around 12 acres of its land for one side of the road without formal acquisition in 2009-10, with a promise to allocate alternative land. When the promise went unfulfilled, T-Series halted the second carriageway's construction through a High Court order. T-Series spokesperson Vinay Kumar Mittal told TOI the company is not against land acquisition per se, but was willing only to part with land required for the road, around 4 hectares, and nothing beyond. He warned that any further acquisition attempts would be met with legal resistance. "We raised our objections during an expert committee meeting, even as the panel agreed that only the absolute bare minimum of land should be acquired," he added. To break the standoff, the Authority in its March 29 board meeting proposed a conditional settlement. Under this, 40% of 196 acres of undeveloped land owned by T-Series would be returned, subject to payment of external development fees. The remaining 60% would be acquired as per the circle rates. GNIDA also proposed that land coverage, FAR, and setback norms, applicable in 1992 (before the area came under GNIDA's jurisdiction), would be honoured, though current FAR charges would apply during purchase.

3m wider now: Shahberi-Crossings link road reopens after two months

Noida: Shahberi-Crossings Republik Road — a vital link between Greater Noida West and Ghaziabad — widening project is over and the newly expanded stretch was opened to the public on Friday. The project, which is set to provide significant relief from traffic congestion in the area, involved widening the 15-metre-wide road by three metres, 1.5 metres on each side, to allow smoother two-way traffic flow. A drainage system was also constructed alongside the road at an estimated cost of Rs 4 crore. Greater Noida Authority CEO NG Ravi Kumar said, "Thousands of vehicles pass through the Shahberi market area daily. Due to the road's narrow width, traffic congestion became routine. The widening was essential to address this." The three-kilometre stretch, connecting Iteda to Crossings Republik via Shahberi, was closed for nearly two months starting March 25 to facilitate redevelopment work. The road is heavily used by daily commuters, including office-goers to Noida, Delhi and Ghaziabad, as well as local residents. It also sees considerable movement of school buses, goods carriers and auto-rickshaws. The authority has warned local shopkeepers against encroaching on the newly developed road and said strict action will be taken against violators. Greater Noida Authority is also constructing a six-lane underpass on Taj Highway to facilitate commuting between Greater Noida and the Delhi-Meerut Expressway via Gaur Chowk. The 720-metre-long underpass is expected to be completed within 18 months. Once construction progresses at Gaur Chowk, traffic restrictions will be implemented on the Taj Highway and traffic will be diverted through the newly opened Shahberi-Crossing Republik road. Traffic police are yet to issue an official diversion plan for Gaur Chowk. Gaur Chowk, located in the heart of Greater Noida West, a housing hub that is home to over five lakh, the six-lane road has not been able to keep up with the ever-increasing pressure of traffic that converges from multiple directions — Noida, Surajpur, Crossings Republik and the Delhi-Meerut Expressway. The Parthala flyover, on the cusp of Vikas Marg and Faridabad-Noida-Ghaziabad (FNG) Expressway, that was expected to decongest the area did ease traffic at the Parthala Chowk but shifted the jam by a few kilometres ahead to this place. "There is already traffic jam in peak hours at this location. We feel that the traffic situation will worsen once the diversion at Gaur Chowk is placed," said a resident of Gaur City.
